according to cadels wife, on tv, vino looked guttered saying there is still 10 more days. supposedly he could barely speak.

90% of those guys will crack and end up behind evans, vino, basso, nibali on GC but the one that doesn't will win and Sastre looks to be finding form.
Race over if you ask me, Sastre has won.
Eratosthenes said:"Cadel" means 'battle', well he will certainly have to live up to his name to win this.
Sastre means 'tailor', some have said this course suites him.
Alexandre vinokourov: He will also have to fight like Alexander the great to get close to winning this.
too tired to find any others.

9000ft said:Evans & Vino screwed the pooch. It happens. Still a lot of tough racing to go so I wouldn't 100% count either of them out, but it doesn't look good. (For them that is, for those who made the break and are real GC contenders it looks great.) One things for sure, you can't call this Giro predictable.

Archibald said:evans and vino may be 3-4mins down on sastre now, but considering that it was the reverse this morning, i'm not writing off anyone as after seeing this, anything can happen in the next 10 days.
it's a funny old race...

What? I thought that was the only way to beat Karpets?

Mellow Velo said:He seems to be a lovely bloke. His interview when he won the Romandie ITT was charmingly naive, in the nicest sense.
Get behind him and wait for the monster mountains that will bring Cadel back into the frame.
This race is far, far from over. Remember, this isn't the Tour, so anything can still happen.
