Is Matthews going to blame this one on positioning as well or was the final just too hard for him?
Omg what was that. Sagan was absolutely bullied there. He delivered like 20 guys straight to the finish line. I hardly remember such sour Sagan loss. JA lost because of him and Greg would never won today without Sagan. On the other side he raced little bit stupid. They would be sprinting for sure third without his effort though so he at least tried. Anyway I am goiong to bed angry.
With the Vuelta and canadian WT races now over, a LOT of riders look very ready for worlds.
I could easily mention 20 riders with a realistic shot.
As a dane, I'm praying for wind and rain on race day![]()

It's crazy. It's clear Sagan just saw this as a training. At the WC he would never ride like that. In fact, he's won plenty of races on the backs of others, no need to be sour.

Read RR's comment. What's that supposed to mean? That he's won bunch sprints? Otherwise, I would like a few examples where he has done less than the lion's share of the work and then won.
It's clear that Roux and Laporte have absolutely no business in the French team for the Worlds. Bring Cosnefroy and Peters, ditch Roux for Molard.1). These motorbikes are a disgrace.
2). Cosnefroy is riding himself into the French team right here. Did you see that little nod of Julian prior to bridging the gap?

I'm sick of these wheelsuckers. Bora must buy some good domestiques, it is impressive how can all race against sagan. I really think MVP will be the best thing in classics to sagan.
I guess if you go by his logic then every single race Sagan has won in a bunch sprint was on the back of other riders. He's not wrong if you shape it like that. What's that supposed to mean? Who's "shaping"? Where did i say anything about "every single race Sagan has won in a bunch sprint"? Looks like you're the one that's doing the projecting here.I guess if you go by his logic then every single race Sagan has won in a bunch sprint was on the back of other riders. Can you give me an example then? I want to believe you but i can't think of anything other than what tobydawg already mentioned.Who's "shaping"? Where did i say anything about "every single race Sagan has won in a bunch sprint"? Looks like you're the one that's doing the projecting here.
he won 2, 3, 4 years ago, today and in two weeks is what matters."years ago"
He was still wc 1 year ago. You act like it's been forever ago.
First things that came to mind were WC where he was completely out of contention, but was brought back by idiots that thought they had the best man in their team. The other was his win in Cancellara's wheel where he refused to help. Those were pretty big and important wins i would say. You could also count PR last year, where he had the perfect team mate in Dillier. Can you give me an example then? I want to believe you but i can't think of anything other than what tobydawg already mentioned.
