I guess Hincapie will give the standard reply that we have heard lots of times. Short and ugly, trying as hard to distance themselves from what they did and blaming external forces on their actions, drawing a line stating that is in the past, moving on and with a great big dollop of going to spend time with family now.

I do hope we get to hear how much Hincapie spent on dope over his career, but somehow i doubt we will get that much detail. Wonder did he use Ferarri for his whole career?

The key will be whether Hincapie's testimony supports the widespread conspiracy line. It must, since USADA says this is 30x worse than anything else already known. If it is assumed that all USADA charges are true, than hard to imagine what could be 30x worse? If Sarko was involved, maybe GW also?

Sarko has lots of time these days to ride his Trek. He loves hanging out with scum like Lancey-poo.

I don't expect Big George to say much at all, a quick Google search on his net worth shows it to be $40M!… It looks like he has done very well for himself, and I can't see him saying much that would put that in jeopardy.

it's called cutting his losses.

if he comes out before the USADA report is out, it will look better.

They're not real defenders. They're interns from the Karl Rowe (Rove) - Limbaugh Institute for Dirty Politics. They sit in a boiler room tapping out ".. passed 500 tests.." or whatever all day long, hoping some day the Nazi Party of America will hire them.

George is a true Hero in the classic sense. He's everything we want him to be, but there's a tragic flaw. Its the flaw that makes a classic Hero and human.

LA has been filling his body with toxic drugs since he was a teenager and he got the cancer to prove it. No hero, all flaw.

Trying to bring politics into a thread where it does not belong?????

Nazi's ? good to know that you can toss about anything out around here and it will be glossed over and left up as if either one of the statements highlighted in bold belong in this thread.

Imagine if it is to go down on a Tuesday what sort of circus tricks he will do!

Perfect storm of drumsticks, thigh's, wings, etc. for DAhogs if this goes down on a Tuesday somewhere in NYC!

Wait just a dam minute. There is no reason to belive that I have had anything to do with this. Unless it was one of those Jameson nights. Then who knows I might have been there. :D

I believe his 'confession' and his testimony should be one and the same. I suppose UCI could say 'yes we agree with the reasoned decision' and then seal everything so the public never knows what was in it.

Lance is a choir boy compared to some of the types that Sarko associates with....

USADA is saying theyre releasing to public, so UCIs input is moot.

So he is worth $40m....and Lance also a multi-millionaire.....as a few here have said, he's done very nicely from cheating in a professional sport. Whats Hamilton worth now ?

The authorities should hit these dopers in the pocket. Maybe then they would think twice about cheating their fans out of their hard earned money...and everyone else they have conned throughout their career.

Fingers crossed, yes? Hopefully we’ll be able to keep all this away from the public and the legend of Lance will continue!

In the old days of the internet (1990s), a thread on usenet was considered to have jumped the shark when Nazism was invoked.

Godwin's Law is rarely applied here...

Perhaps rarely applied, but it is still applicable. I think that met the qualifications. Also, as I understand it, "Godwin's Law" describes a state of being, it is not a prohibition. So it would not be "applied".

Actually, sometimes the idea of Godwin's Law is unfortunate, as perhaps in this case - but that is because I tend to agree with the poster that there are similarities between the two characters he mentions. Ultimately differences, too, but more similarities than I care for. Slap my hand now - I've continued the OT discussion. ;)

Now for an ON topic moment!

I don't think George is a weak character. Nor a puppet. Being a domestique does not make you weak. It does mean you have different talents, and you are perhaps not in the top ranks.

I agree that there is no question that George is guilty as charged. I don't see how anything else could be true. What happens as a result - well - I am more concerned that the rider's today have the liberty to ride clean - and still have a chance to ride and win.

Maybe George Invested wisely, such as in some tech stocks?

As for Tyler, I read his book, he seems like a nice enough guy

Was he? (anyone able to confirm one way or another?)

How do you make $40m is my question. Wow.

If he invested in Weisel's tech IPO's then he's as pis*ed off as some of Montgomery Security's former investors; unless Thom told him to sell early. He makes clothing and hopefully bought good real estate.

Hincapie does have a cycling apparel company, and the factory is in Colombia.

Third world labor and First world profits. Plus salary, bonuses, investments and endorsement deals.

It all adds up if you're smart with your money.
