nibali doesn't need them either as he will not be a force in the climbs so he doesn't need riders to make tempo

Why would he need anybody ? It's Sky that are going make pace for the whole climbs for Wiggins. Schleck/Frenchies will attack and Sky will try to catch him. Nibali and others will just have to stay with their pace... something which some couldn't do looking at vuleta last year :p

Szmyd hasn't produced anything relevant in a 3 week race in two years (not even as a domestique). He was clearly outclimbed by Caurso throughout the whole Giro 2012.
Basso might still be better, but there's no room for any improvement whatsoever with him. So why not going for a young rider who still hasn't got the chance to prove himself. I'm ok with Sarmiento too. Give them a chance.

if you say so . . .

Damn and i was just looking forward to what Nibali could do in the mountains only to find out he won't be a force.

Don't know if ill even bother watching the tour now.

that doesn't matter. you can give them a chance but it's no use when they suck. even basso at this level is a lot better than caruso.

he rode off?? lol. he attacked and horner and kreuziger didn't respond. even tiralongo who had attacked and was more dead than a life could hold a steady gap with nibali. and by now I think it's save to say that beating kreuziger and horner in a climb isn't very impressive

Was Nibali the guy who never attacked on climbs?
I remember you saying that very thing, a few posts earlier.

Horner and the rest of them would have cracked had they responded to Nibali's attack. Tactics my ***.

I'm not saying it's impressive to beat Horner on European soil, never mind Kreuziger, but still. Nibali was far and away the strongest.

ryo's blind hate for Nibali is only surpassed by ryo's blind love for rujano.

Nibali was by a long way the strongest in T-A, any1 that says otherwise either didn't watch the race is is completely biased by the hate.

i can see where ryo's hate comes from tho, a much less talented rider then rujano already has a incomparably better palmares.
