Why would anyone in the ProTour come forward? So they could be forced out of the sport like Jaksche, or Rassmussen.

Would the UCI open a case? Lots of ridiculous, but within the rules, ways of not opening any cases against the samples.

Even though there will be numerous positives, it's possible the UCI can use the rules to protect (again) whomever is on the UCI's secret popularity list.

Maybe ASO does something with results from their events, but that could be all.

I agree- Specially with Jens-who is well regarded among fans & the Cycling World. I still like him though, but then, when the facts unveil the lies beneath that mascara-is when we get to see the "real person".....

Based on his "It's my job" mantra, I don't think he will give anything other than "everyone else was doing it". His class is genuine, but that class was defined by the old regime.

I fully expect Jens to retire at the end of this TdF.

It is a pity he will not have had to face the world's media on the 18th, but that is the influence ASO has weilded.

I disagree. Voigt is a hero for many who offer the "clean era" theory, since many grew up as July fans and he is the hero of the July fans.

There are still loads of people who believe he is clean for some reason, probably because they like him and like with other dopers, those who believe in them tend to be fans who can't separate emotion from judgement.

Chapeau to Benson here, he played it well.

There are things Benson does that I don't agree with, but him I can respect far more than most others and often he does do the right thing.

Imo it's always positive to have someone asking critical questions, whether it is to new or old dopers. Jens Voigt acted like a fool in the interview and all but confirmed that he is or have been doping.

Now what I'd love is an interview with Chris Froome in the same style, but obviously that's not going to happen.

I didn't think Jens was all that bad. He didn't get angry or clam up or stick to boring platitudes. He all but admitted that he doped, but he doesn't come across as a ring leader or particularly obnoxious about it (greedily winning major races via an over the top program, bullying others into silence, etc.).

Do you feel bad about rolling through stop signs in your car or on your bike? Probably not, because everybody does it. This guy isn't a philosopher, so I can see how he might make a rough comparison to rule-breaking in other walks of life and leave it at that without questioning too deeply what's going on around him (or going into him).

The interview at times did make me chuckle, but then at other times made me think "Jens man, think before you speak"

The way he says Sagan and Froome were bairns when everyone was doping in the naughty era, so don't be looking at them or asking them.

He may be a nice guy but he has doped for a long time, too long and I want him popped. Like O'Grady, who will now always have a big *beside his name, always and I want Jens to have one, Kloden too, but since Kloden retired it is unlikely.
