Clip from Gavin Newsome interview with LA:

Some choice quotes:

"I’m a fighter. If I ever have to fight, I will fight.”

“500 doping controls all negative.”

“A lot of zeroes.” (money spent on defense)

“I’m Lance Armstrong. If someone puts my back in a corner, I come out swinging.”

“The amount of crap written about me, someone should lose their job over it.”

How classy spewing all these gems

...um I'm pretty sure a few folks have lost their jobs as per your wishes except you are pretending that these people have written lies , Lance.

To be honest I'm actually worried about him. I think he is mentally losing the plot. He doesn't actually look all that sane at the moment. I'm not sure what he's searching for? It appears he needs to be loved.... perhaps he should resolve some of those childhood issues? I really don't know. But people wont love you because you tell them too.... and for God sakes stop lying.

I'll leave it to my close friend Christophe Bassons to explain Armstrong:

“I don’t care what anyone does, as long as they don’t try to stop me from living my life, or doing my job, which is what bothered me about Armstrong. But, again, I won’t judge. With him, I think it’s obvious there was a need for success. He didn’t have a relationship with his father, and his upbringing wasn’t easy, then I think what was already a hard character probably became more and more entrenched in those ways as he got a bit of success with triathlon and then in cycling, plus money and adulation….”

"The one thing I would add about Armstrong is that I’m not sure he’s as proud of the person he is today as I am of myself. Whatever you do in life, you have to accept the consequences of your actions, like I accepted the consequences of my decision to get out of cycling, without looking back. So I hope that he has the mental resources and the money to deal with the consequences of what he’s done all these years, I really do. But I also hope that the truth comes out. And I don’t envy Armstrong, that’s for sure…”

Gavin Newsome, the guy who cheated on his wife with his best friends wife? No wonder they get along so well

Very classy. My understanding was that wives/kids/girlfriends were considered out of bounds/off topic.

Very classy, especially in light of the exchange quoted below:

Now you've done it, RR. You've insulted Joe's hero.

My understanding is that everyone here can read on at least a 4th grade level. Ergo, you should understand that RR was talking about GN's behavior.

And comparing that behavior to? Evidently hard core comparison thinking starts in the fifth grade.

Read his post. Again.

Sorry guys here's the link to Bassons assessment of Armstrong's mind.

Excellent analysis if you ask me or Dr. Phil.

Have a read of liespotters analysis of Armstrong. Sadly he's still at it even when he's close friend Hog Bruyneel has his b0lls to the wall. So sad.

----

CIA Veteran Regretfully Suggests Lance Armstrong is Lying: We asked Liespotters worldwide to comment on this video clip of Lance denying use of unauthorized substances. The team at Liespotting.com was very impressed with the response from readers. But Phil Houston, expert deception detector takes it much further. He says Lance displays over 25 deceptive indicators in just a few minutes. Take another look at the video, then read Phil’s fascinating analysis.

Unfortunately, setting aside my above mentioned bias, I have become extremely saddened as I have analyzed Armstrong’s responses and commentary regarding the doping allegations that have plagued him for many years now. In this short Larry King interview clip, Armstrong exhibited a high volume of behaviors that we refer to in our analysis as “deceptive indicators.” These indicators take both verbal and non-verbal forms. While many tend to focus on the non-verbal indicators, or body language, it is important to understand that there is also a very rich volume of deceptive “tells” that can be found in the verbal behavior as well.

This is what I find most interesting. Here we are, three days into the biggest race in North America (and specifically the US), and Bruyneel hasn't been spotted in any photos or video.

Rumour has it he was recently seen at a bike shop near Polish's crib...championing a new catalogue of propaganda, no actually I don't know but I sure do miss him and his silly comments.

Not sure why you're whining here. Not that it isn't funny, but I'm not sure why.

Doh. Wake up. The "whining" was pretty well spelled out in my post, specifically the part regarding "wives/kids/girlfriends were considered out of bounds/off topic.".

Not sure what you don't understand. If you think posts about "wives/kids/girlfriends" are acceptable here, just say so.

And let us know if you think those really add to the conversation.

That matches up with my take on Armstrong. It is not just that he has no conscience about lying. He enjoys it. The bully part of his nature delights in putting one over on people. When he lies and knows that the people he is lying to know he is lying and cannot do anything about it then it delights him even more.

Prison, itsnotover, do i need to go on? Is it still a myth? Don't project your anger either, anger is your turf. I find it mostly amusing but according to one of your mindless followers that ruined cycling. Be happy you're connected, that's really cool, leave the opinions to people capable of rational thought and deduction. Obsession and rational thought don't play well together.

Yes, you should. In case you haven't heard Johan was stopped as soon as he came off the plane, served, talked with the Feds, and has since disappeared. You are welcome to pretend it is over but to most it is clear it is not

What exactly are you saying here? Are you admitting you are too obsessed to think rationally? How have I ruined cycling?

It is not my fault Lance and his buddies are in trouble.

So what really is happening here?

Borat kills the LA investigation because the wunderkind has agreed to sell the Hog et al down the river, protecting certain US citizens at the expense of certain other nasty euro types, like it was predicted he would do almost two years ago?

The Hog couldn't have been served due to the USADA investigation, could he? Would that case have those kind of federal powers?

Sounds like someone has finally unzipped his lips.

In the beginning, Race Radio's analysis was this: "I have never said imminent. It will be years before Armstrong's lawyers have bled him of his cash and he goes to prison."

Then, about three months ago, Race Radio was talking about Lance Armstrong getting off because of "Borat," "expediency," "the way things are done" and "influence," all involving the federal government.

Now, Race Radio is pushing the position that there is a federal investigation and "Lance and his buddies are in trouble."

What facts prompted Race Radio's change from "prison" to "expediency?" Only two little snippets: (1) Mr. Birotte terminated an investigation that was conducted by his office; and (2) an unknown source reported that the investigators thought they had a lot of evidence and they were blindsided by Birotte's decision.

What facts prompted Race Radio's second change from "expediency" to "Lance is in trouble?" Only one thing: Johan Bruyneel was served with papers by people who may have been federal agents at a San Francisco Airport.

Race Radio is good at being a half-step or more ahead of some of the reports that we are seeing in the media, but his analysis of federal motivation has radically changed over time on the basis of the most flimsy "evidence."

For the snarky response and the fanboy accusation I am about to receive, I salute you!

there is nothing absolute about a prediction.
based on the facts, half a year ago, the most likely thing to happen was for indictments to rain down on lance.
that in the end it didn't happen doesn't mean it wasn't the most plausible thing to predict back then. it was.

I thought this is the Johan being served thread. Why do you always bring Race Radio into it?

Be interesting to see how this plays out. If Johan makes an appearance on Baldy? Long way to travel to not be seen. I hope he’s ok. Probably best he doesn’t make contact with Lance because his phone might be under surveillance or a wire tap?

I noticed that the 500-600 tests mantra has hit Associated Press and is being published by many publications. I assume this was a preemptive strike? I hope it wasn’t premature.

Still time for Lance to pay his victims. He did after all embezzle a million dollars from SCA.

Do you buy Race Radio's argument that the federal investigation is being "influenced" by Lance and Fabiani? Has the paper served at the airport on Bruyneel caused you to reject that argument? Or do you believe that the feds are influenced by Fabiani and not influenced by Fabiani at the same time? Or that the feds were influenced by Fabiani three months ago, but are not influenced now?

We can argue forever over whether an Armstrong indictment was just a reasonable guess or whether it was the most plausible prediction, and we'll never know because the investigation was secret, but the "Borat-Fabiani-Expediency" argument has always been worthless.

Unless the feds are being influenced by Fabiani to get Lance ..... :)
