I said that at the time.Great job by the concussion protocol by the way. Teammates saying he was barely lucid while continuing that stage.
Yeah, it was quite obvious. Dangerously stupid to let him continue.Great job by the concussion protocol by the way. Teammates saying he was barely lucid while continuing that stage.
He had seen Pogi's crash in SB...Yeah, it was quite obvious. Dangerously stupid to let him continue.
Well Pogi didn't smash his head right into tarmac. He had seen Pogi's crash in SB...
Sure, he didnt.Well Pogi didn't smash his head right into tarmac.
He had a concussion. He didn't ride Catalunya because he doesn't like to lose and knew he wouldn't be able to win after the crash. I like that honesty.
He did a tuble in the grass... And was very lucky not to hurt his neck.Sure, he didnt.
Lol, ok.He did a tuble in the grass... And was very lucky not to hurt his neck.
He had a concussion.
Do you mean yesterday's interview with feltet or a different one today?I know, but this was also said in the interview today with Frans Maassen.
And it was actually not meant as a criticism.
Ah ok then, Pogacar either won Strade Bianche with a concussion or has a special head, which doesn't get concussed. Makes sense!Lol, ok.
Didn't you see the airbag?Ah ok then, Pogacar either won Strade Bianche with a concussion or has a special head, which doesn't get concussed. Makes sense!
What are you saying? He hit his head right on the tarmac in SB. Thank god for helmets. Didnt faze him though.Ah ok then, Pogacar either won Strade Bianche with a concussion or has a special head, which doesn't get concussed. Makes sense!
Well I guess I must have missed that, lmao. Honestly do think I was mixing JV's crash up with Skjelmose's tbf. We never saw JV crash, of course. What are you saying? He hit his head right on the tarmac in SB. Thank god for helmets. Didnt faze him though.
Maassen was interviewed by TV2 before today's stage.Do you mean yesterday's interview with feltet or a different one today?
Thanks, just saw it.Maassen was interviewed by TV2 before today's stage.
So you are thinking about changing his schedule. He was scheduled to ride this race and then a lot of altitude?
Yes, but after his crash, he couldn't train for one week. He could not prepare for this race in the best possible way. And then you could say maybe he could race, but then he has to also do battle against very strong riders, and he doesn't like to lose so much, so I think for the team and for him it was better to take no risk and start from this week on in training again.
You didn't miss it. He went down on his hip and then shoulder. Very little (if any) impact to the head and nothing like Skjelmoses head bouncing all over the place.Well I guess I must have missed that, lmao. Angle from behind clearly shows his head bouncing down and up on the tarmac. It was at high speed as well. You didn't miss it. He went down on his hip and then shoulder. Very little (if any) impact to the head and nothing like Skjelmoses head bouncing all over the place.

His head hit the tarmac. Can't see anything, it's just some pixels. Did of course check several videos and made my own conclusions going frame by frame and hitting his head was absolutely the least of it.
Absolutely inexcusable failure of the concussion protocol. I remember something similar happening with Chris Horner.Great job by the concussion protocol by the way. Teammates saying he was barely lucid while continuing that stage.
Horner got messed up, didn’t even know where he was or what he just did.Absolutely inexcusable failure of the concussion protocol. I remember something similar happening with Chris Horner.
Could you say he felt a bit like a knucklehead?Horner got messed up, didn’t even know where he was or what he just did.
