Sorry, but I find it so absurd that a race director goes begging for that little *** to be included. UAE should also bring pog then and hang Ayuso out to try. Even if they bring him, I doubt he'll receive much support from the team.![]()

I don't. Ayuso has been touted as the next big thing since he was a junior, is objectively the best teenage climber in history and was probably promised some big things in order for his pen to hit Emirati paper. In all likelihood he has been surrounded by yes-men for a long portion of his short career. Once you hear 'yes' for long enough, you'll start to believe in delusions to a point where one thinks they deserve things they can hardly dream about. Very footballesque behaviour.Best thing about the TdF was that UAE and Pogacar didn’t need Ayuso. For a 21 year old with his career all ahead of him I find his impatience and selfishness a little hard to fathom.
Very good summary. Maybe he needs a stint with Movistar to hit reality again.I don't. Had Ayuso kept his focus on the Vuelta a Espana he certainly would lineup in Spain as captain this month!I don't. Sure. But compared to Pogacar? Come on. He’s only 21 and can wait!I don't. Soler does whatever he wants at any race where Pogacar is absent. What's the problem for Ayuso to accept that while Pogacar is head and shoulders ahead of him?I'm all for Ayuso's behavior. He doesn't want to become another Soler. UAE paid the superstar money for Ayuso and now they complain he acts like a superstar? Go figure.
Would love to see him move to Red Bull, tho. Seems like every race this year Roglic ends up acting as a domestique for Vlasov of all people. Much more respectable to ride in service of a true prima donna.
But he's not a superstar - yet and I don't see how he would ever become another Soler? He is riding in the same team as Pogacar. At 21, he needs to wait and deliver solid results in service for his leader then he has earned the right. Like João Almeida.I'm all for Ayuso's behavior. He doesn't want to become another Soler. Andy had an offday at Hautacam, he seemed on par with Sastre the rest of the race tbh. The race just dictated Andy to ride like he did as he was already distanced relatively early.
Also, didn't mou say that Ayuso's parents were very wealthy? Maybe he has been spoiled from the beginning.I don't. Yes, but Almeida still did a great job for Pogacar in the Tour. There are no excuses for Ayuso. Seems very selfish, impatient for his own results and unrealistic knowing who he was hired to be riding in support of. Lucky for UAE that Pogacar didn't need Ayuso. Had Vingegaard not suffered the consequences of his Basque crash it might have been different.Almeida wasn't exactly known as a great teammate ahead of the 2024 Tour de France either!
Andy wasn’t irritated about working for Sastre or Frank, he and Frank were irritated since they thought Frank could have won if Sastre didn’t attack. But he's not a superstar - yet and I don't see how he would ever become another Soler? In 2008 Andy Schleck showed how it should be done. Andy came 2nd in the 2007 Giro when he was just 22. At the 2008 Tour Andy rode as part of a three pronged CSC team. Carlos Sastre won the Tour. No complaints from Andy.
