Vaughters and Danielson raced against each other domestically, Prime Alliance and Saturn, respectively. At Cascade it seemed clear to most that Danielson was doping. He won easily. I remember the winning move containing both riders, Vaughters said to Danielson, "Tom, this is your race to win."

I have to believe that Vaughters knew Danielson wasn't clean at that early time.

When a rider seemed doped, we used to say, he looks chemical. I remember thinking at Cascade, this kid looks chemical. Others thought the same.

And now he's retiring when he seems to be riding pretty darn well. Is he tired of the pressure to dope? Is he tired of being around dopers? Is he tired of doping?

No he's not. Only reason he ever got into the wt was because Cannondale wanted some Americans on Liquigas. It became quite pathetic when they also wanted him to ride le Tour.

And he had good PR.

This Danielson has just exposed what some of us suspected from Vaughters. He lies when it suits him. I find JV's twisting and lying now pathetic.

He laid down some hard facts when he entered WT, now all blown away with the tailwind, same as Sky.

JV this year has been so quiet on his anti doping, that i had to check whether he still claimed it on his twitter.

Wonder did Tygart find the hypocrisy in JV a tad too much and target tested Danielson........would be funny.

my guess is JV has the dirt on TD, so he wouldn't sue JV, although lots of stupid people out there.
