I asked Vaughters if he thought there were still guys in the peloton who were taking performance-enhancing drugs. "I don't know," he said. "If you had asked me several years ago, the answer would have been yes." He paused. "I think the possibility exists today that no one is

ahhh get ferked JV, I am prepared to support you, but please, be more ambiguous on the doping side than the everyone in the peloton in clean. This is just spitting in our face at Clinic 12.

When have he said that everyone is clean? I have heard him other things, the way the transition is done open the door to be doping despite things have changed a lot, ...

it is obvious that always is going to be some cheaters, but I think that for today the expresion everyone is clean is corrrect, at the same in Lance times we said; everyone was doped, and that is not true, it is just an expresion, but Danielson positive work in the direction that everybody is clean, the cheaters go out sooner or later.

This Danielson has just exposed what some of us suspected from Vaughters. He lies when it suits him. I find JV's twisting and lying now pathetic.

He laid down some hard facts when he entered WT, now all blown away with the tailwind, same as Sky.

JV this year has been so quiet on his anti doping, that i had to check whether he still claimed it on his twitter.

Wonder did Tygart find the hypocrisy in JV a tad too much and target tested Danielson........would be funny. :D

I wonder if Danielson's most recent ex got in touch with TT and told him that he might find something interesting with TD right before Utah if he just cut to the chase and invested in a CIR test.

Yep, quite possibly. Danielson appears to have little respect for the relationship he is in, but that could also be a side effect of the PEDs.

Now Taxus, this kind of obvious trolling is well obvious.

@Digger_forum Terrible self-serving JV is. Agree with @lancearmstrong view, time for JV move on, good people would be better off without him

Steve Tilford has a good blog on Vaughters, also calls out the lie about internal testing!

Bet JV will be spending 20 hours a day again in front of the screen............

Physiological testing ≠ internal drug testing

Testing physiology in a lab is only marginally useful when trying to determine ability on the road. And testing on the road is a lot cheaper.

JV claimed the team test their riders regurlarly as part of the clean team spin.

With Tilford he never said what type of testing. Drug tests? Power tests? Blood? Urine? Physiological?

In the earlier years he referred to drug tests but never gave any specifics.

Basically, Tilford criticized JV. JV said "hey want to come see us do some testing?". Tilford went and watched the testing. The Garmin guys mentioned they dont do that kind of testing very often. The end.

Typical JV misdirection. Showed transparency while really not showing anything. But didnt lie about anything either.

Tilfords lists Optum as a clean team but doesn't want to discuss the Zirbel positive that saw his new contract with Garmin-rescinded

In his old age he must have forgotten about Sebastian Salas. Or Mike Creed who has come into the firing line more recently. Justin Spinelli was another admitted doper who rode for the team. Oh dear, Optum not looking so sparkly anymore either.

Jonas Carney, Alex Candelario, Mike Creed, Danny Pate, Svein Tuft, Kirk Willett, JV all were at Prime Alliance in the early 00s together, a team Matt DeCanio described as 95% clean. Horner was also there for a season so likely the 5%.

Vaughters claimed internal testing to keep riders clean. Vaughter's claimed he spends half a million bucks on internal testing.

With that kind of mindset, I believe Vaughters thinks that if they don't get caught doping, it's not really doping either.

So did he do blood testing or urine? Were riders tested at home or just at team functions? Who carried out the testing? What was ever done with the test results?

Heh. You think JV actually gave us details?

tsk tsk.

According to TD and CVV when Tilford went to see the Denver set up, no. They were not tested in 3 years and my guess is JV pulled TD and CVV in for the PR spin because Tilford took Vaughter's the offer to check out their way of working.
