when the idea for the fund was first talked about, weren't there 2 funds - 1 on NYVeloCity and 1 on Cyclismas. But there was some problem with the NYVC link and it went away or something & the Cyclismas link was used instead?

Can you clarify what happened with all that, or am I not remembering things correctly?

My impression is that the NYVC guys never actually took anybody's money & everybody used the Cyclismas PayPal link instead? Why was that account chosen? Because they already had logistics set up with PayPal?

I spoke to Andy Shen on the Thursday and said we need to do something to help Paul. We both agreed on a chipin, similar to the Charles Pelkey one. I told Andy I would set it up.
Kimmage then phoned me and said he couldn't accept people's money. We convinced him to take it, and if needs be, he could hand it to charity.
I set up the Chipin so that Andy Shen also had access. I also told Lesli Cohen that i wanted to give her hte details of the account. I wanted them to have hte details so that no one person would have access and be able to see the account. After a few hours my paypal wasn't working properly. I asked Lesli to help me out. She set up the same chip through the cyclismas paypal.

In all this I can't reiterate enough that Lesli is a lady who i have the highest regard for. I have the same thoughts on Andy Shen.
As for Kimmage, I feel so sorry for him, as I know from talking to him that he's destraught and honestly had no idea there was an issue until Saturday at lunchtime.

There's going to be a digital trail. It will either exonerate Brown or show him a thief.

His inability and unwillingness to immediately account for the money--and requiring others haul him into court for an accounting--tells me all I need to know about that piece of pond scum.

I know that the fund was setup for a genuine cause, and to remind people is still active, as the case against Kimmage was only 'suspended'.

Hopefully, it is just some small misunderstanding and everything clears, but the ball is clearly in ABs court now.

Thanks Digger for the explanation. Please tell Paul that people don't blame him for this. I can imagine how I'd feel in his shoes. Hope everything can be worked out soon.
