I'm doing the un-imaginative thing again and going with:

1 - Boonen
2 - Haussler
3 - Pippo

bah i was going to pick that exact line up. Guess I'll mix it up even though i don't believe it will play out this way.

1. Tom Boonen
2. Edvald Boasson Hagen
3. Dominique Rollin

It's a good thing you didn't post your original picks, then, b/c I forgot about Nuyens! That guy might have had it today if he wouldn't have flatted. Definitely gotta put him on the podium, at least.

Devolder will take this one-and I add Freire as a runner up

not predicting anything from Bmc like last time? Smart move me thinks. No ballan, hincapie's sick and now it's only Burghardt and kroon to do something.

well-you just said it- not this time around-but I hope they get their act together in the coming races, because time is passing by and they need the results to secure invitations-specially looking ahead to the TDF

What's the weather like, as the forcast is awful.....

Today is mostly concerned with periods of abundant rain and fierce storms and short dry periods. The limits vary between 7 and 11 degrees. The wind clears to the west to northwest and increasing to strong or very strong local and even tempestuous. In the afternoon gusts expected to be 100 k / h. About 120 km southeast possible highs.

It must be bad, I can't get into their homepage!
Not sure whether this wind will drive them forwards, but it's a guarrantee for danger and crashes.
Must be a howling crosswind at some point......
Kuurne is just right beside Kortrijk - so I pulled up the weather from the airport at Kortrijk.

Presently it is 9c or 48f with light rain, the wind is blowing from the south at 18mph.
Later in the afternoon the wind swings around coming from the east and strengths up to 35mph. 50% chance of persistent rain.

How lean and strong is Haussler looking. Love watching him on the bike. Hopefully he gets his big break through classics win this season.

Will predict Boonen today though (how creative).

What time does the race start? Hoping to find a live stream, but I know they tend to be invisible to google until just before they come live.

I'd love Haussler to get it, but I think Bo-Hagen or Boonen will be more likely...the former being more or less rested and the latter not really expending too much effort yesterday. Although Boonen will be more p****d off over yesterday's race! So maybe that gives him the edge...

It started at 12:15. TV pictures start at 2:30 CET or so.

I live in Germany not too terribly far away, and the storm is arriving here. Spitty rain and increasing wind so far. We were outside and it was not pleasant. They are prediciting hurricane-force winds with gusts up to over 100 km/h.

Hopefully those winds stay away so we can have a race. It will be a shame if they call it off. Race anyway in those winds - let whoever wants to go out, go out and let whoever wants to race, race. That is proper hard tough racing.

Just finished the Kentish Killer sportive which is about 125-150 miles as he crow flies from KBK and covers similar terrain. No cobbles though :( Persistent rain - about 20mm or nearly an inch - in 3 hours and winds gusting at up to 50mph. It's pretty grim out there at the moment!

Breschel and McEwen both wanted to stay warm today. They have decided to stay in the Hotel room.

Are you sureabout Breschel? Danish media mention McEven but not Breschel and being Danish they should mention him.

Why not close the competition before the race actually starts? That everyone has a chance of picking riders that won't finish.

Glockers- you picked McEwen for the podium. He did not start, see above.
