Ya - L'Equipe has that story about LA not riding the Dauphine or TdS since this morning, but i haven't yet seen anyone else pick it up.
It would seem strrange that L'Equipe would know LAs plans.

Also they said he was to return to France on Monday!

if there is a federal investigation underway will he be allowed to go to france?

Well, there's apparently a French investigation underway too, so maybe it's time to go hand out gift bikes or something.

Unless he has been 'charged' with something I would assume he is free to travel wherever he wishes.

Again - it was reported in L'Equipe this morning, I have not seen anyone else report it until Browne, and he doesn't say where his info came from so it could be the same source.

No offense, but I don't understand what you're saying w/ "drug their clean competetors dicks in the dirt"? Is that the literal translation of some really good saying in Estonian or something?

attacking until the other riders tounges hang out an drag in the mud. attacking so that anyone who follows blows up and loose 20minutes. like the Triplets of Belvue

There are currently 686 listings for Lance Armstrong books on eBay - he could put it towards on of those.

Someone is asking $189 for a signed copy of Comeback 2.0 ..................

Just as well I'm not drinking coffee ATM, otherwise it would of ended up all over my monitor.

Aye,

never spit out beer.

Unless it's bad beer - maybe.

It's 7.30am here, I think I would have a drinking problem if I were drinking a beer right now. And yes I would spit out bad beer, namely Budweiser and Miller.

This from a Federal standpoint is nothing. His passport will not be revoked. Do you think the feds are thinking he will bail to live in France after all of this?:D

You could still be drinking from the night before :p

Right.

Fair point then. Though I feel in the interest of full disclosure I need to point out that I have probably cracked a beer at 7:30 AM before now ......... course that would have been on vacation somewhere hot.

And certainly not Budweiser or Miller.

You would be on Scott Socal's ignore list for life.

Coolhand's take on things:

"Not really, most of his statements seem a bit detached from reality.

Some "new" thoughts though:

1. The thought that doping may have bigger effects on the personality/stability of the user over the long term. Messing with your system like that (especially hormones/steroids) may have serious long term damage. You see it in American football players for example. And with a few racers we lost as well.

2. I was surprised at the extent and duration of his doping. I always assumed that the pressure of team leadership at Phonak (and the impending hip surgery) led him to dope. I was completely wrong- he was 100% dope made rider. Depressing actually.

3. Tied to #1- the incredibly poor choices he made over the last 4 years. Initially his case was no worse than David Millar's. Only after being caught red handed and forced to admit he doped- Millar got and followed some good advice. Fess up, apologize, do your time and he probably could have come back like Millar and a certain 6 time French TdF KOM winner did. Same with Tyler Hamilton- some very very bad choices and decisions- to the extent you wonder about impairment."

This post leaves me with no other option other than to say that Coolhand, by his own reasoning, has been doping for years, and is now suffering the consequences.:(

Digger,

I respectfully disagree with your 2nd point, that Floyd was a 100% dope-made rider.

Though I certainly agree that it's surprising the extent of his doping, keep in mind that Floyd rose to the top of the mountain bike and domestic road scene incredibly quickly. At this time we have no idea whether he doped then, too, but I suspect if he did then it was nowhere near to the same extent. He was, and is, a super talent, and I think anyone who has raced with/against him will agree!

Those are not my views, but those of a mental case, hence the quote marks.

Your tongue and your **** can only be confused if you are inordinately lucky in the endowment stakes. I gave up meat as a protest, I keep getting offered it though.

There's me thinking Armstrong was a doper but your persuasive argument just changed it for me. Free Lance!

I like #2 above. Coolhand has to just gloss right over the fact that it was Lance and Johann who taught him to dope and come up with stupid shit like:
2. I was surprised at the extent and duration of his doping. I always assumed that the pressure of team leadership at Phonak (and the impending hip surgery) led him to dope. I was completely wrong- he was 100% dope made rider. Depressing actually.
What a tool.
