David Harmon on Eurosport is talking about it. He seems to be contemptuous of Landis.

That seems to be the general view. Big scepticism.

This is the problem, the parasites who make their living off the "industry".

Go Floyd! Hope his revelations have teeth.

that will happen unless a compleate confession from the riders involved or 100% unresputable proof from Llandis

I think Pat's misjudged this one. People pretty much know what has gone on in the past, we just needed hard evidence to support it. I think the tide has turned against LA and JB, and the only way the UCI could get out of it was to be uncommittal initially, pending "further investigation". To come right out and accuse FLandis like this shows they are corrupt and self-serving, and hopefully the media will take this one up now they have a nice juicy "corruption in sport" story to progress.

By the way, any sightings of Kimmage yet?! :D

Kimmage was On RTE radio sports news at eleven am. I will put it up in a minute

well, it's pretty damn easy to be skeptical of Landis. He's not exactly the prosecution's unimpeachable witness. There's probably a lot of truth to what he's saying (excepting the dumbass part about the 2006 drug test). Unfortunately, the messenger is a proven liar with a long and very recent history of making **** up.

I go to sleep thinking that he will make some general allegations regarding some people, and that this will be a story that will be torn apart by the media machine behind Armstrong/The Hog/et al. I wake up to a nuclear bomb having gone off.

Bravo Floyd. I always said that I have respect for people when they come clean, and this is the kind of detail that cannot be explained away by saying he is just spilling sour grapes.

Wow. What a day.

I noted something in the post and it's probably already been mentioned in one of the previous zillion posts, but Andriol is a oral testosterone replacement therapy, I used it medicinally for years ( inactive pituitary) and on the scale of serious prep, it's a bottom feeder, as most of the testosterone gets destroyed passing through the stomach.. It is emulsified in a inert medical grade oil to pass through the stomach and get absorbed by the liver. Extended use can do liver damage which can be monitored by LST, HST using a LFT blood test. I'm suprised that it was mixed with olive oil ( a bit scary )and injected, although the present replacement I'm on is Reandron, which is slow release testosterone in a medicinal oil suspension.
All this is meant to be no more than information.
Cheers

wow! Shock Horror! People working for a TV company that created a special "Planet Armstrong - wa*k fest cycling for idiots" programme don't want the allegations to be true?

Who'd have thought it?

I wonder if Liggett and Sherwen will back Landis up?

Perhaps someone would like to address Landis claims that blood transfusions can all be done in the space of a few weeks at the busiest time of the season? Out and back in again.

Can that be right?

What are you serious? What did they say?

Mentioned that the forum has an apparent transcript of the emails sent, but that they of course have not been verified as authentic, but that viewers should go have a look for themselves if interested.

Haha awesome, CN is scooping everyone left right and centre today.

I wonder if we will see a stampede of mad newbies because of this.

The key point is if anything can be corroborated and journalists and investigators can make this stick. Landis' credibility then is moot: doesn't matter. Shooting the messenger is an old sport.

The point is the quality of the evidence.

I think people are to some degree confusing "speaking of landis' claims in vague terms to cover their *** and make sure they can't be sued for making the claims (repeatedly pointing out that this is reported by ESPN, WSJ etc.)" for being skeptical of what Landis is saying.

These people don't want to get sued, so they of course keep it very vague.

Meanwhile, Filippo Simeoni is laughing his *** off a probably dancing a jig.

Simeoni, Bassons, Manzano, Hamilton, Andreu. Probably Ullrich - he's hinted at it. There must be a lot of people ready to spill the beans.

why single out SA - why not every other race and country thats payed a fee for LA's services

Why should the TDU be singled out

Because the post to which I was responding raised SA specifically.

PS - you have to lose the Stuart O'Grady tag - it makes you look very naive ;)

do not know if this has been brought up, trying to scan through the pages,

making a direct comment regarding his wife seeing the transaction, opens a very large can of worms.
