For anyone wondering why they were using andriol you may look at the good Dr Ferraris ideas about that drug. It is well known that he had his athletes take it. I think the main reason for it is andriols clearance time, don't forget they are just using it to help with recovery, nothing else, so large doses of test are not required.

It's liked because it's the only oral steroid that can pass through the liver mostly intact. It's absortion rate is very inconsistent though.

Funnily enough, at the time, a cyclist friend of mine who's a doctor, works with bio assays (whatever they are!), told me that he didn't really think Flandis's T/E ratio test failure was reliable given the incredibly low absolute values involved.

I don't claim to understand the science. I'm just saying, if you're gonna come clean come all the way. I would go so far as to say that even if you WERE clean of Testosterone in that single test in 2006, just drop it and admit you doped. You're just making yourself look bad by still claiming that you doped for years but that the one time you got caught was a bad test.

yeah whatever you say.....

Actually, Sportzchick, he has a point. AIS was based there down at Semaphore during the O'Grady, Jonker era. And SASI with Jay Sweet and others. Lots of doping going on at the time. Trust me, I know.

Thank you...common misconception.
But the taxpayer does fund USOC who also find USA Cycling.

Actually I asked this earlier on because I don't know - why was Roger Clemens hauled before Congress?

Agreed I also know.

Also O'Grady was a big time snorter of all sorts of stuff.

I used to enjoy watching Sweet win Commonwealth Bank Cycling Classic stages.

Just get out of there cadel! But go where?:(

Any team that will take him?

But he's not going to try and get out of his contract and face energy draining procedures.
He knew what he was getting into with Lelangue and Rihs. We told you ACF :D

Because congress decided that it should spend its time investigating accusations of steroid use in baseball.

Hey there, sportzchick - your new tagline is much better:D For some reason, and I have absolutely zero evidence for this, I have this mad notion that Cadel is clean.

A little bit off topic, but would be interested to hear opinions -

I've always heard you can't make a race horse out of a donkey - in other words, doping won't help those that are not naturally gifted.

But if you look at Landis results last year (when he supposedly wasn't doping) he didn't finish anywhere near the top of domestic races.

Does that mean if you take the doping products Landis took, it can raise your performance from pack fodder to Tour De France contender???

David "I'm not even using recovery therapy" Millar.
