AG2R and Movistar are riding for placings. They don't believe in victory anymore
Or they sense weakness in Froome/Sky.
Then why aren't they attacking?
First weakening Sky as a team, then attack on the Alpe.
If Froome is weaker today, this would make sense. You don't attack now, then allow 4-5 Sky's to close the gap again in the valley.

Then they should try to drop him and not ride a steady pace.

They probably need it to have been hard before an attack.

Not outrageous tactics.
Then why are they applying outrageous tactics?

So now we know Bardet and Quintana are not riding for Tour victory and are spineless

Then again i understand this more than what Bahrain did yesterday.

From Carols in the Nibali thread:

On NBCSN Voight said he spoke with BM DS who said that Nibali wasn't feeling all that well yesterday and they went to the front to control the pace and keep it even at a pace Nibali could recover at.

that is BS. Nibali and the DS both said they felt weakness in Froome and wanted tot test him

You think they would say for eveeybody to hear that Nibs is not quite good? Guess we'll never know then.

Yeah it is a bit strange given they drilled way harder pace than Sky before that. Is Nibs recovering in high pace? :p

Because they were embarrassed by Sky yesterday and their DS has told them to go out and look to be doing something today. So they are sending men up the road and then chasing them down like idiots.

Does anyone really believe Froome is on a bad day?

I’ll believe it when I see the time loss at the end of the stage. Even then, I’ll probably think to myself that it is all part of the plan.

...not that I’m pessimistic.
