Ian Boswell attacked from a group of 25 riders with 90 km to go and showed some classy solo-riding at 35°C. Unfortunately he was passed by Koretsky and the group on the final kilometer. :(

Novikov once again in his own world in the mountains. He even crashed on the Piccolo Bernardo descent with 1:10, but no problem for the russian juggernaut.

That's win number 7 this year. I wonder how Katusha will **** up his career?
I hope they don't bring him up next year, and give him one more year in the "minors", hopefully letting him ride Volta a Portugal, if they get the invitation again

So if I read correctly , he had an advantage of 23 seconds over Aru on the top of Piccolo San Bernardo and extended that lead to 2:32 on the descent. And Lupetto says he crashed there too. That's impressive:eek: even at this level.

Yes. In nearly every race he did this year, it seems. As a consequence he seems to have some kind of permanent back injury, which has been bothering him all season.

He started this season in style, BTW: by breaking his collar bone in the very first race.

While it's not quite *results* Jesse Sergent is turning out to be quite a TT machine. 21 seconds ahead of the rest at the intermediate in the Tour Poitou-Charentes.
