Just what I said. In fact only Conti sprinter that improved dramatically was Groenewegen, from 375 points at Roompot to nearly 1000 at Lotto (980 atm)

Cause Theuns was a leader at Topsport and isn't always at Trek?

Spoiler: I have a positive take on Doha:

I have to say honestly, if it wasn't for WC Doha this year I'm not sure I would pay any attention to these races. I mean I should always have - I see that now, but if wasn't for Kittel being in this race, would it be broadcast etc.etc.
Normally I follow such races on twitter, normally not at all.

I saw a great last 30k last night on ES (rerun in late evening) - and I believe I owe it to Doha

The difference between van Asbroeck and Dupont is pretty obvious: van Asbroeck got a mere two UCI wins in his breakthrough-1000-cq-points-season. Dupont stands at the moment with 747 cq points - but 16 UCI wins.

There are two Tour of Chinas which have nothing to do with each other?
The organisers for each race wanted to make a Tour of China, but they couldn't agree which one should be Tour of China? Or they simply agreed that China is kinda big so it would make sense to have two races?

It was a single race, but was split in 2 in 2012.

Maybe it's something to do with the limit of race days in .1 races. In Algeria there are 21 days of competition earlier in the year divided by some stage races and classics and with little rest between them.

Different situations.

Tour of China got a lot of responses from good teams along the lines of "we'd go there if it wasn't such a long race" so they split it so some teams can do only 1 of the races

The algerian races were simply bundled together to attract european squads that don't want to travel to algeria more than once in different months.

With his current results, you'd expect the belgian squad to take Dupont to Qatar, but De Weert seems to continue the questionable choices as the new coach (as could be seen at the European Championships, where Hermans was clearly the best Belgian). In a flatsprint, I seriously believe Dupont is at the level of Debusschere and Boonen, his win at Nokere shows it doesn't have to be a completely flat race either.

Gio Visconti wins stage 1 of Giro della Toscana. Colbrelli 2nd, Benna 3rd. They were part of a late break initiated by Fabio Aru who finished fourth.

3. Daniele Bennati (Tinkoff)

Nice win for Bennett after a season that he's been injured or recovering from injury for a lot of. It's a small race, but it's a good sign of form to get one over Cavendish just before Doha.

OBE (Durbridge and Tuft) win Duo Normand in dominant fashion. Team Almeborg-Bornholm's Carstensen and Madsen came 2nd. FDJ's Le Bon and Fournier 3rd, WIGGINS' Dibben and Davies 4th, Australia's Scotson brothers 5th.
