Update Pau Miquel Delgado: Pau was one of the three riders involved in the crash that paused the race. Pau had to be airlifted to a hospital in Besançon, his condition luckily isn't critical. Inigo Momene and Unai Jauregi, who were also involved have minor injuries.""

Definitely because of their Lampre roots. They have good connection with all race organizers + many of their sport directors are Italians.

That said, it's getting ridiculous. In a race like Giro di Romagna they could legitimately sweep the podium (perhaps even the top5 depending on Bardiani's and Polti's roster).

Meanwhile Marc Hirschi is furious that he's been sent to that small race in Belgium instead of having the chance to shine in the great Giro della Romagna.

Hirschi would indeed had been a favourite here at Giro della Romagna, but he was carrying bidons etc for Teddy in Belgium.

Haven't seen any pictures from the race yet (Rai is slow to upload currently) but apparently there was a bad crash with 200m to go as a moto missed the deviation and instead parked on the finishing straight.

Mikel Iturria was brought to hospital with "several fractures and a minor head injury", but is "out of danger" now, according to Spanish media.

it should be a fight againts Del Toro and the logal Pelayo Sanchez IMO, but there are several interesting names there: Restrepo, Vuilleimonz, Majka, Morgado....and a good race for Burgos, Euskadi...

I am glad to see racing at his country to Edgar Nieto. from Victoria Sport He is from my region, not far from Asturias, but he is one of the most international cyclist ever, racing races at all the continents, usually racing at Asia.
The strange is to see him racing at his country.

Honestly, after looking at the startlist, I thought it was kind of disappointing for UAE only to get first and second. I expected three or four of them to ride away from the peloton together, Gewiss-style.
