Nice one. Actually, I wrote him to let him know about the concert venue's strict 'No Chinese Allowed' policy. I'm hoping that might sway him.

You need to play to his sympathetic side. Tell him your girlfriend's in a coma and you know, you know, it's serious...

Little-known fact about Morrissey- huge cycling fan! His all-time favorite rider was Jan Ullrich. He was the inspiration for 'You're the One For Me, Fatty'.

I feel largely responsible for taking this thread so far off topic, and want to make amends. My sister has a long-time friend, a Dutchwoman she worked with at a hotel in San Juan, PR. back in the '80's. Last year they decided to meet up for vacation in California, with the woman's 18 year old daughter tagging along. A fun time was had by all, and before they parted my sister did what everyone does these days- requested they be Facebook friends. The daughter awkwardly declined, explaining that she prefered not to have any Facebook friends over the age of 30! Oh...okay...whatever. So, I guess my question is this- you've got this stuck-up little cow, you've got that doper and petty larcenist van Heeswijk, heck, you've even got the actor Rutger Hauer starring in a film called 'Hobo With a Shotgun'!...WTF is up with these Dutchies today??

The best thing to do, should you come up on one on your bike, is to just pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side...

The Smiths' repartee is funny-as!

Yeah, Morrissey is a difficult prat, but oh well...you'd be depressed too if you got a punctured bicycle on hillside desolate and still waiting for nature to make a man of you, yet.

I hear Max is a Johnny Marr fan, in particular his stuff with The The.*

*An utter and complete fabrication, but I'm trying to steer things moderately back on topic.

I just read this thread in one shot today, and I have 2 genuine questions: has the article been out yet, and if yes what was in it? If nobody knows, it s ok, if nobody cares, let s change the title or move it into Armstrong archives

Just mind the Vicar in a tutu.

Although back on topic, Van Heeswik is alleged to have talked about an interesting drug.

David Millar suffered from Irish Blood, English heart when his blood bag got mixed up with Dan Martin's.

First of the (USP) gang to die?

You're on top form, Mrs.

It may be off-topic, but what difference does it make?

It's a shame you cover yourself in a balaclava; you may be quite attractive - still, pretty girls make graves. So, sheila, take a bow.

Everyone's dying to know what went down between Max and the journalist, and until we know all we can do is stretch out and wait. Right now, Max sounds like a boy with a thorn in his side. His actions have spawned a monster (and it's not even November).

Even if Heeswijk's alleged claims help bring Armstrong down, in LiveStrong there is a light that never goes out.

Funny thing is, the more you ignore him, the closer he gets.

Kinda like those "enhanced interrogation techniques" they're using down in Gitmo...

Oh really?

Stop me if you've heard this one before but the problem is that the UCI is hand in glove with Armstrong. Armstrong of course tells us that its all a miserable lie. As for the conclusion to the investigation, how soon is now? Armstrong is girl afraid and there is a fair amount of panic among the ex-USP/Disco riders.

Levi's been kicked out and Armstrong's on record as saying 'we hate it when our friends become successful'.

Landis is this charming man but at times bigmouth strikes again when he gives interviews.

Hinapie knew it was time. Levi by being a sop can only ride for Lance. No team would want that legacy.

He may oscillate wildly at times, but Armstrong no doubt sees himself as the last of the international playboys. Riders like Landis and Hamilton may go around saying if there's something you'd like to try, all you have to do is ask me, ask me, ask me, but Armstrong will always maintain that omerta is the bond, the bond, the bond that will keep us together. The former, in their phone conversations would speak in picadilly palare to hide their interesting drugs, the ones that they took, the one's that really helped them. And then there's our Frank(ie) who pulled on a red pullover when he tried EPO and saw how the colours blend, my friend.

One day, we'll learn from Novitsky the queen is dead and it'll be the cemetry gates for Armstrong's legacy. Just like the shoplifters of the world, he'll learn that money changes everything. He'll be forced to admit to the world,

'I started something I couldn't finish because I just haven't earn't it yet, baby. I had a tough life as a kid and I guess barbarism begins at home, but I'm a sweet and tender hooligan. I'm going nowhere fast and although there may be panic on the streets of Dublin, Dundee, Humberside, I just want to say to my good friend William, it was really nothing. These things take time.'

Time now for a little interlude. It's sunny outside and I'll see you tomorrow, but I just hate it when everyday feels like sunday.

When the indictments come I think there will panic on the streets of London, panic on the streets of Birmingham. I wonder to myself could life ever be sane again?

As for Max it's gruesome that someone so handsome should care. He knows so much about these things. Is Landis just a jumped up pantry boy who never knew his place?

did anyone by any chance get the chance to read the article in nusport?
Anymore details on what Max has actually admitted to other than having doped himself?
any details on armthong and/or bruyneedle?

I'm not getting The Smiths/Morrissey references here. Are they from some obscure B-side or possibly an import-only disc? You have humbled me Mr. sniper, sir.

PS: If you want to refresh your memory on how this stage 9 aroused suspicion by the journalists for a climber who had no TdF track record of climbing success watch the video of LA's crushing of his rivals at the end of that climb.

haha..if you look at 0.29, he looked like going downhill, he had to stop pedaling :) it would have been the crush of the century if he had been struck by roadside on a climb. i know sestriere isn't a steep climb, but anyway.

I'm not quite following you either.

Good job Max, looking after your family is the most important thing. We all know the score anyway.

Hi, (first time poster)

I have not had the chance to read the article yet, but in an interview with L1 (regional station) Max van Heeswijk states that he will not take any legal actions against NU-Sport since (in his words)

"I have discusssed the situation with my lawyer and I want it to blow over. I don't feel like putting too much energy in these negative things. I am just done with it."

Cheers

We've had a string of postings where guys were having some zany fun discussing the Van Heeswijk situation by cleverly using weirdly appropriate Morrissey lyrics. I was pretending like I was some clueless dolt who just assumed you were playing along. Typical sitcom style buffoonery, really. As for your question, I loved 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?', so I bought the soundtrack. I've listened to it a few times. But, really, is there anyone out there who likes both mopey Britpop and bluegrass?

so if there is no recorded record of his admission does that mean it didn't happen? Shoplifters of the world unite! I 'll bet some of the things said during the interview would have made Caligula blush
