This BS is one of the reasons I find it hard to let it go. Every time one of these discussions arises, at least somebody portrays it like the only possible reason anyone could ever give for disliking Sagan is that particular moment. This is a myth and a fallacy, as I've spelt out numerous times. It's not about his view of women as defined by that one particular moment. It's about almost every facet of his personality ever since he burst onto the scene, he embodies in so many ways the type of people I absolutely abhor, and the fact that he's so talented you can't avoid him, and other people love him so much just makes it harder for me to a) understand, and b) swallow.Durden93 said:1) Sagan did something inappropriate. He did that once. I don't think he'd be married if he viewed women as objects for his personal enjoyment like you seem to enjoy. You do not get to anoint yourself as moral arbitrator.
That's it.
