This is the first year since 2018 where non of the GT winners also won the BYR competition.

2019: Bernal won the Tour
2020: Pogacar won the Tour, Geoghegan Hart won the Giro (ahead of Hindley, who was - in fact - also in the BYR competition)
2021: Bernal won the Giro, Pogacar won the Tour (ahead of Vingegaard, who was - in fact - also in the BYR competition)

Yes, this is very much in the Random category! Danish GT stage wins since 2010.

So, yeah... there has been more Danish GT stage wins this year alone than in the entire 2010-2019 period.

Safia Al Sayegh, who finally got a chance to ride for the UAE WWT team during the Tour of Chongming Island, after she's been on the team for almost two years, managed to finish 32nd on all three stages.
She had to settle for 34th in GC.
Racing a WT race with the main team should do good to her confidence, and probably lift some pressure, too, having been under considerable spotlight, at least regionally, for some time.

So, with the last WT race of the season, I'm going to give a quick break-down of all WT wins by the top-5 countries on the UCI nations ranking.
Ordering is based entirely on my own personal opinion.

I might make one for teams as well.
