Nine of the GC top ten were in the stage top ten. That is pretty much standard fare in a one week race with only one decisive stage, but must be fairly unusual in a GT.

So much for GOAT: he is only 99.99975% as good as his rival.Pogačar vs. Vingegaard, 2021 - 2024. What if it was one big Tour?
For the fourth year in a row, PogaÄar and Vingegaard finished on the highest steps of the Tour de France podium. What if it was one big Tour de France?www.procyclingstats.com
Over the course of the last four Tours de France Tadej Pogačar gathered a total amount of 199 bonification seconds, equaling 3:19. Jonas Vingegaard took 111 boni's, equaling 1:51.

If we add the bonification seconds to their total time over the past four Tours de France, something remarkable happens. It's not Pogačar who emerges as the big winner, but Vingegaard. The difference, however, is astonishingly small.
Jonas Vingegaard covered the 13,667.1 kilometers 3 seconds faster than Pogačar. 3 seconds over such a distance! That's equivalent to 0.00000006379 km/h.

So now it makes sense. I was struggling to comprehend Pogi's 85-second lead based on memory on how things were played out. Lazily and stupidly I never thought about boni.Pogačar vs. Vingegaard, 2021 - 2024. What if it was one big Tour?

Is this the first time a husband & wife have competed at the same Olympic event?
yup, but no individual road time trial at the '84 Olympics so they achieved it in the road race instead. It seems Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter got married in 1983, so no.

I would think there are a lot of examples if you count too separate events as "the same event" like the case was with Bjerg and Norsgaard.
I don't think there are any mixed-gender events at the Olympics, so that makes it a bit hard for a husband and wife to compete in the same event.
(Obviously only counting cycling here.)
I don't think the question was limited to cycling (even though the thread title would suggest that).
And it's exactly because this is the Mental or Random Cycling Statistics thread I figured it was only about cycling.
You can always make a Mental or Random Other Sports Statistics thread down in the cafe.
Neither of you are patlrticularly wrong. Let's move on?
