Landa wants to make sure his old leader doesn’t OTL.
At the moment he is on the group, I wanted to be him on the break, but maybe is not still the good one...Some people as Sosa, Elissonde or Cristian Rodriguez droped, so the pace is high

Yeah, this clearly isn't one of those days where he could beat Pogačar.
Lot of people can beat Pogacar in a hard day with long climbs.

Yes, Pogacar made mistakes, but he would have been with Tramadol man that day anyway

It seems he took it a bit easier the last stages and use them for building his form. Is it not better that he is co-leader instead of only supporting Remco? Landa has definitely the potential to finish top5, which I'm not sure for Remco.
For Mikel is better for the team to keep the pressure off by sticking to the original plan with remco as the main guy. Landa will be stronger with this approach

I wonder how he will perform in the ITT on stage 7. He will most likely lose time to the top 7 riders on GC, but it will be great if he limit his losses or 1:15/1:30 to the likes of Remco/Pogacar

He lost 2:05 to Remco last year in the Vuelta ITT. That was 0.5km longer than stage 7 but much flatter.

I don't get why he closed the gap for Rogla. Why not sit on his wheel when he was losing contact?
1. Trying to do his best in gc in case Remco falters
2. Trying to get up to Remco to take him down the descent
Landa gives off the impression of being in a trance when he's in the red.
The team should have ordered him to anchor/wheelsuck Rog.

My thoughts too, could have helped Evenepoel gain more time on a podium threat but Landa was feeling generous
It's only stage 4 and on the last km of Galibier, I doubt that Roglic would have lost alot of time if Landa stayed on Roglic's wheel instead of bridging the gap. It's better that SOQ still have Remco & Landa in contention for the podium.

Sure is doing a great race overall, better certainly than I expected. I think he’s been a massive help to Remco, just having another guy there at the end makes it seem like Remco is on a real GT team.

Very impressed. Questions about why he didn’t sit on Roglič are good ones.

Roglic was struggling at that point with no guarantee he is able to pull back a two rider gap and burns himself out faster. By potentially killing Roglic they increase their podium chance.

Rogla dropped back from Pogi's wheel to last in the group 3.5 km from the top.

~200 m later, it was Ayuso's time to take a turn, but he was at the back and only slowly made it to the front, so the pace dropped. Both Rogla and Landa were gapped with a bike length at that point.
