Primoz Roglic is coming! 4 consecutive GT podiums for the ex ski-jumper.
I have a feeling he'll be in this list by the end of 2021.

The record of Bernard Hinault is insanely good. Can anyone explain why he only competed in 13 Grand Tours when he was so dominant when competing in them.

Because the racing was much harder back then. Some riders possibly never reached their top level after competing in two GTs in the same year at too young and age. Fignon and Breukink are two examples.

And Hinault struggled with knee problems in his career due to the gearing he had, which costed him at least a TdF win.

He only raced GTs that he knew he could win? He had been a pro for 3 years, and had won the Dauphiné and Liege, before entering his 1st GT as a team leader. He never had to serve an “apprenticeship” under another leader in GTs the way Lemond, Fignon, Indurain did.

He retired on his 32nd birthday, an age when Froome was only getting going.

In 9 years of riding GTs, he never rode 2 GTs in a season, 2 years in a row. That was probably not by design, he surely wanted to ride the 83 Tour after winning the Vuelta, but injury kept him out (and opened the door for Fignon).

Incredible podium efficiency by Hinault. I didn't know that Anquetil was #1 in this stat. Also amazing numbers by Froome and Nibali, I didn't realize that they gapped Contador so much here. For the latter it was all about winning though and he also was stripped of 2 wins. Poga is 2/2 so he's on a good way to beat both Anquetil and Hinault

Podiums mean nothing to Alberto!

Contador's results were Hinault-esque up to 2012; 9 GT starts, and wore the leaders jersey at the end of 7 (2 later stripped). The exceptions being when he rode for Heras as a 22 year old in 2005, and when he lost time in 2011 and just set off on mad attacks and ended up 5th (also later stripped).

More importantly Contador won 9 GTs in 18 attempts on the road, that's a great record. I don't think anybody else in the past 35 years has a 50% winning record. Even Lance is stuck at 47%.

Gustave Garrigou - 6/8 - 75% - 1 win

1 win is pretty brutal, the Andy Shleck of his time
Not really. There was only the Tour in his time, pre-WWI. The riders he finished behind (Lapize, Petit-Breton, Thys, Pelissier) were all there or thereabouts in other years, so it sounds like it was just a competitive field.

He also won Lombardia and MSR, and I'm sure Paris-Amiens was probably a big deal back in those days as well.

Roglic gets his 7th career GT podium and joins some other great of the sports in Ullrich, Contador, Gaul, Heras and Simoni.
Roglic has an open streak of 7 consecutive podiums in GTs he has finished between 2019 and now. The only longer streak this century was achieved by Chris Froome (9) between 2013 and 2018.
Vingegaard has an open streak of 4 podiums and is threatening to enter the pantheon soon.

Pogi will probably enter before Vingegaard.

That 'consecutive' streak has 3 DNFs in it.

UPDATE:
Tadej Pogacar becomes the first rider in history to podium each of his first 6 GTs (factcheck this because I'm not 100% sure).
He enters the list of most podiums in GTs and will likely gain another spot by the end of the year.
