i don't think it's a minor factor, but that's just my skepsis hindering my sight probably.
anyway, hiring ex-real madrid phlebotomists is also just one minor factor.

and what about blanco going there in prep for races in france and italy. why not going to france or italy.
mollema had never ridden the mont ventoux prior to this years tour, which by most cycling commentators was seen as a very odd fact.
luckily, though, he had ridden some hills in girona. great thinking by blanco.
as i said, somehow everybody ends up in spain.

But with the high proportion of Colombian emigration being to Spain (by a factor of 15 the largest European home of Colombian expatriates), for Colombians settling in Spain is less of an obvious indicator than it is for European riders from places where they would have plenty of opportunity to do the same training close to home.

Hiring ex-Real Madrid medical staff is a much bigger indicator for me, than the fact that some Colombians settled in the only country in Europe that speaks the same native language as them and that has by far the largest number of their compatriots. Now, if a bunch of prospective cyclists from countries with no obvious ties to Spain, such as Brazil, Haiti, Australia or China, all start relocating to Spain, maybe it would be a more obvious indicator. But for a Colombian looking to participate in a sport which is based in Europe, Spain is by FAR the most obvious place to settle, regardless of intentions toward doping.

I think you missed my first response to your previous post. Its on the previous page.
We all agree on the Colombians.

You never cycled? Don't know any cyclists?

And how do you "prove otherwise"? From what I can see you can't - so why do you bother?

Sounds cute - but if you did you would provide facts, figures and links to your every thought.

You stated "Logic in cycling is to treat them all as dopers until proven otherwise" - now, thats up to you. You are perfectly entitled to hold that view.

And I asked:
And how do you "prove otherwise"? From what I can see you can't - so why do you bother?

Its a genuine question - if you have a view, you should be able to articulate it or say "woops, my bad" instead of the attempted smart a$s response. And you get no prizes for a hasty response (quite the opposite) or deflection- so take your time, its 'voluntary' afterall.

sorry to tag team here, but he's articulated his view on that plenty of times in different threads and in quite clear fashion. perhaps you should read up instead of asking him again?

Interesting thing guys is apparently Unzue is the only DS who could avoid doping scandals. Yes, Valverde was suspended but per se it happened because of italian side and Unzue couldn't have incluence in that case. Oh, I bet unlike Bruyneel and Riis, there are no secrets for this grandpa )

movistar and unzue, schowcasing the new fairplay mentality that is rocking the peloton.

Boy you do know how to bore the pants of posters.

This is a forum for discussion and opinion, the odd time facts come into it. It aint a court.

That you constantly pick up my posts ( and others who think in a similar vein) seem to point to an agenda. I dont care for your agenda.

As for backing up anything up with facts, figures and links. Well take a look at the modern history of the sport, and then you will quickly come to the conclusion that modern professional cycling is a cesspit of cheating and doping. I dont know how many people from the inside sport have written about their experiences of doping, from Kimmage, Voet all the way up to idiots like Dave Millar and lately Wegelius who doesn't bother to give a blow by blow account of the doping but does mention it.

I have asked on numerous occassions if anyone could point to where the sport is cleanER as JV, Brailsford and others are trying so hard to push. McQuaid still runs the racket of UCI and anti doping and that he is trying every conceivable way to reamin in power shows the levels of corruption in the organization in 2013. So that is the biggest 'fact' in my humble opinion that SCREAMS the sport is as dirty as it ever was, with certain teams no doubt getting a pass on testing due to them making offshore investments in certain 'racket' members names. But hey, what do i base that on, well easy, the history of the sport.

Now go do one Doc, and how about instead of getting pedantic on posters why dont you get pedantic on those in control of the sport. Picking on the fans is oh so big of you.

Unzue has not avoided a doping scandal. His top rider got popped. Thankfully somebody did their duty and popped him along with Basso, Ullrich, Scarponi and others.

If Unzue is not another Riis or Bruyneel, why is he not doing a JV or Brailsford?

I have an agenda, and you should care for it because it is the reason you (& others) feel constantly picked on.

I want to draw my own conclusions on the state of the sport - so when you post something and attribute it to others, I will question you on it.

This is interesting.
Lets ignore that you haven't read some of their books yet you are happy to take the above named people to say that it is a cesspit of cheating and doping.

Why is it then that you ignore when these same people point out that the sport is cleaner?

The 'clean' 'cleaner' is your hang-up.
It is actually true that the sport is 'cleaner' (I even got you to admit that) - it is also completely irrelevant.

Also, amusing to see you throw in the word 'fact' above and yet not even offer who these teams are - and then admit that you base it on the 'history of the sport'.

I get pedantic on everyone - if JV, Brailsford, Contador, you, sniper lie or are inconsistent, I will show it.

Also, I will be honest - I don't consider you a fan. You have no view on the sport, you don't post anywhere else, you don't appear to be a fan of anything, rider, team or the sport.

I genuinely asked you to articulate your points - I suppose this is an articulate answer for you.

Last time we had a back and forth you got a weeks ban. I am not going to continue responding to your pedantism. I express my opinions.

Whether i am articulate or not is for me to worry about. We can all insult each other all day, no doubt a few box of tissues worth for you, but I am not interested. I post in plenty of other places. That i choose not to post in every section of CN is no indication of whether or not I am a 'true' fan of the sport.

I use the name 'benotti69' on one other forum, Dim's, and have posted in a myriad of threads of a wide range of topics.

I attend the clinic in whatever capacity i chose, i post in whatever manner i chose, according to CN rules, and you knock one out all you want trying your upmanship BS for all i care, you offer very little, probably about as much as i, except to nit pick like an old woman over people's posts.

Goodluck to you.

You're right. It is for you to worry about.

Because when and if you post something that you cannot back up, or you get your history wrong - I will seek clarification or correct it.

Nor have i insulted you - I asked you direct specific questions. That you cannot articulate an answer is you insulting you.

I actually don't care for what reasons you post here - I am more interested in content (or lack of). I am not stopping you "choosing" whatever way you want - but when its BS, I will 'pick' on it. So, its your choice - be a big boy and get over it.

But you pretended that "I am picking on the fans" - I pick on lies and BS.
As I said, frankly I don't see it and that you point to another forum to suggest you are a fan is revealing for its lack of substance.

Lol you still bothering with the dullard that is Bennotti?

most people here have identified him ages ago to being not 4 real because he doesn't watch cycle races and just trolls the forum

Since both of you know that what you are discussing are off topic (in this and other threads, where you do the same) and usually clog the threads, I will ask you to stop it.

And both of you know what will happen if you continue.

Your the mod. You should be the one stopping it.

Lets be clear - if someone posts something and it is allowed stay up on a thread, I have every right to query it.
It is not my problem that some of those that i query then deflect, complain or outright lie.

Not blaming you netserk, but there has been no moderation here - anyone is allowed post any type of BS - and this has been abused by some members, some do it in genuine error, but some do it point score and others to outright troll.

I have been away for a week, so obviously I couldn't stop it (so I (am trying to) stop it now).

If you want to continue to discuss modding take it to the relevant thread.
