I have absolutely no clue how they will do on cobbles. Not enough data available. Quintana did ride some this year but was really bad on them, don't remember Froome riding them. Rain, wind... don't see much of a difference here, Froome doesn't get caught up in echelons, and basic bike handling.... although Froome looks bad on a bike he doesn't crash himself on a dry road with noone around him.

And Quintana good on punchy finishes? Sorry but I can't take you seriously after statements like that (not that I could before)
again you didn't see dwars door vlaanderen? lol

I have. He was decent, not very impressive. I think the gaps on cobbles will be fairly small, and I do not see Froome losing time to Quintana at all
he was one of the riders actually making the race. he was incredibly strong with amador. froome could never do anything like that. also quintana isn't scared of rain

You didn't watched it then.. :D

Good to see that Quintana respects ALL Contador wins :)

Seriously, get that crap to the clinic.
Wasn't there already discussion about it?
I never visit clinic.

Well then, do not post things related to the clinic in here. Your post had nothing else but the clinic reference

Feel free to report it. That is the proper action. Good luck.

What's your Tour prediction Ryo
depends on first week. if quintana doesn't lose much time or gets sick he will win the tour. last year he could even win the giro with sickness but that was weaker competition
How will Quintana drop his biggest rival? (whoever it is)

You all know that mods are very ineffective here when it comes to doping talks. Is it really that hard to not write posts that are clearly related to doping and bring nothing else to discussion without having someone police you to do so?

“Valverde and I together can make the race difficult for our rivals, and turn it to our favor,” Quintana said. “We have a lot of trust between us and we are very united for this Tour. No other team has that card to play.”
Indeed. Ideal scenario is Valverde winning 2-3 stages in the first week, being in yellow and having sizable gap to FNC

Rather NFC :D

but yea, thats true, would be an ideal scenario for Movistar.OTOH I think they will be satisfied if Quintana is at most a minute behind rivals by stg 10 :)

What are you talking about?

3 Tour wins for Contador.
Ilovecycling made post specifically to highlight Quintana saying that, and it is 2 wins since he got caught doping and got only 2 wins in the Tour.
7-9 discussion belongs to the clinic, thats where it was moved, so thats where it should be conducted, not in PRR which is supposed to be clinic free.

How was that not related to the clinic/doping?

That discussion isn't about doping, but about whether or not official results or results of the day count for people. It's not a clinic discussion. It's been like that for years.

Build a bridge and get over it.

If you consider that clinic talk then quit talking about it right now, quit quoting it, and it will quickly disappear. Each time you quote it, it brings it back into the forefront.

First pic I've seen where he looks my age. :p

I think telling damian13ster to just ignore it is fair enough. Provided you are not a poster who chastises others about other mildly clinic related talk, of course.

Contador even went as far to say that Schleck had pulled a similar stunt on him earlier in the race, even after the peloton had already held up for Schleck once before in the first week of racing when he and older brother Frank crashed.

“Cancellara calmed everybody down, we waited for them and they came back on.”

“Except the next day on the stage over the cobbles, Frank fell again and I found myself caught behind. Andy was in front with Cancellara and they didn’t wait. On the contrary, they rode flat out to build a gap.”

Bertie only evened the score in chaingate it's easy to forget about Fabs sh$% tactics.

But for Fab, Bertie would have won by a lot bigger margin.

just setting the record straight..cheers

I am going to end discussion with this:

Andy-Schleck.jpg

(Andy) just sayin'...

I battled with Contador in that race and I lost. My goal is to win the Tour de France in a sportive way, being the best of all competitors, not in court. If I succeed this year, I will consider it as my first Tour victory.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/andy-schleck-reacts-to-contadors-doping-ban

Yeah, the riders who didn't get to stand on the highest podium spot do not feel like a winners (well, most of them). That's why in some cases (and I think it should be in all cases) the title stays vacant. It doesn't change a thing though, convicted dopers (Contador, Armstrong, Landis, etc.) do not get to keep their titles

Vino's Mum said:
So, to sum up... Quintana says Contador won that Tour, Schleck says Contador won that Tour, and Contador clearly thinks he won that Tour.

What was your point again?

Contador is a convicted doper therefore he got his win stripped from him. He doesn't have it anymore so he is not a three times Tour winner.
And baiting posts such as the one from ILovecycling shouldn't be allowed in PRR because they create the mess as evident by every singled thread in which issue is raised.
