The NFL allowed Snyder to buy that team, now they have to deal with him. I think they should just cut bait, and plan a strategic response of denial and painting him as a bitter person, then move forward.

Just to be clear, to me Manning is probably the 2nd best QB in history. Denver definitely benefitted from having him. His leadership was paramount. The only QB that's better is Brady, because of Tom not only being great, but winning, and playing big when it mattered most. And longevity. But Manning saw the field and open players, and made defenses pay for it, better than anyone, including Tom. Joe Montana deserves mention here as well. Joe had a better system and players (Rice, etc.), and like Brady was at his best when it counted.

That Denver team, especially their defense, was great. Manning was still pretty good, but uneven. He had a couple bad playoff games, was completely overwhelmed against Seattle. He still had a great ability to find open receivers, as good as any QB in history, better. But his arm strength was fading. That last SB win over Carolina, if you look at the stat line, while Denver's defense played great, the Panthers defense actually played the best defensive game in SB history. Bad plays, and one horrible late turnover by Cam, did them in. Manning merely played okay, mistake free. Still, they won.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all the other owners completely black list Dan and make him out to be a conspiracy theorist trying to deflect from his wrongdoings. Almost certainly pissed them off about the hiding funds to put in his own pocket.

The way the refs have been acting I expected the Jets pic 6 to stand which would have been huge for them. Jets will regret that and not getting the Rodgers fumble the second drive. Though the refs with some more controversy giving Packers a first down for unsportsmanlike conduct on the Jets bench after going three and out. No video evidence was given and the tv coverage froze after the Jones incompletion so we didn’t even see the flag. The coverage just cut back in to calling the penalty and first down for Packers. Even the announcers and retired on call ref had no idea what happened or had any video to review.
Bucs are getting annoying running on every first down and getting nothing. Everyone is prepared from it since 2020, do play action already.

What's happened to GB and the Buccs ? Jets and Giants doing well. Vikings win again. Falcons good home record continues against the 49ers. Hawks surprising but the Cards seem very average of late. Tom's final season ?
Both offenses had questions about the oline and young receivers and showing that those questions were warranted. Both have been struggling to move the ball consistently and score in the red zone. TB also has stale play calling and almost always run on first setting up second and long. Their divisions are looking to be tighter than previously thought and it was good Evans was out when playing GB otherwise they’d have a big wall to climb to Vikings. Last week the Super Bowl winning odds went Bills, Chiefs, Eagles, Bucs, and Packers and I’m sure both dropped down.
Who would have thought all the NY teams would be sitting well above 0.5.
Bills with an important win and both quarterbacks committing mistakes they’re known for. Bills were the better team tonight though and hope to have Chiefs visit them in Buffalo.
I feel like there’s a lot more delay of game penalties this year than previous.

Eagles only won by 9, but the win seemed dominant, those long grinding drives were killer. Not sure Dak would have made much of a difference. Penalties also killed the Cowboys. Ugly at times. No one to blame but themselves.
As well as the Giants are playing, the Eagles just seem like they are on another level. By far the most complete team in the NFC. As good as anyone in the NFL, really.

Jets defense looked quite good, and Wilson, despite some mistakes, also seems to make key throws. I wonder similar with TB loosing to Pittsburgh. Hope Pickett is okay. He looks like their future QB for sure, though Trubisky played well.

I said last week that Seattle needs to just sign and pay Geno $20m a year or so, right now, before either losing him and hoping a rookie can play as well next year and beyond (that's a huge hope), or having to pay him $30m a year or more at season's end, as he continues to impress and improve. I see no reason he's going to tank. He's on the right team, with the right coach, at the right time in his career. I don't see him regressing back to being the Geno that played in NY. No way. Seattle's OL is spotty, their defense is porous, but Geno keeps them in almost every game, and wins games for them.

My understanding is no. He had a full tear of his quad tendon, surgery on it about three weeks ago, and is out for the season.
Most can try. There may be a few that have some dirty linen in common that he'd use as the nuclear option although he sounds like the type most billionaires would avoid.
You could listen to Nick Wright and pick opposite of him and win majority of the time.
Maybe also go to a Gamblers Anonymous meeting or two first. Or go to a sports bar and pick the unfortunate individual that bet the mortgage and lost. He's the one with the very, very sad look on his face.

There are not many poor bookmakers...........speaking of Vegas I saw a video lately where they talked about all the little ways, tourists are taken for a ride in Vegas and it was all about the price increases for everything as well. Seems like the gravy days might be over for hotel owners etc as the average person is now getting priced out.

Improved game by Wilson. The Chargers injured kicker was the hero. Denver can't stop with the close games. Ekeler is an underrated RB. Did I hear right, that Wilson is injured now ?
Both teams had major players out with injuries or limping through the game. The officials seemed energetic and a bit erratic. I'm glad I checked out before the 4th qtr after seeing the previous Bronc's game. You can only take so much mediocre play IMO.
Russell's passing was much more like his skill level!
Were we watching the same game? Herbert's injury is definitely affecting his arm strength. But Wilson, while slightly better, was nothing like the game winner of years past. Yes, he wasn't throwing balls that bounced in front of receivers, but he also connected nothing deep. He never seemed like he was going to do something big, let alone take over the game, and the longer the game went, the more he and the entire offense went silent. His stats were really flat as well, 15/28 for 188 yards. Mitch Trubiski had a better weekend. Russ did get a TD though on a short pass, I'll give him that. This was better than the last time we saw him, but...
That's three times Denver has been on national TV now this year. The NFL must have thought Denver was headed deep into the playoffs with the Wilson that lead Seattle to Superbowls back when they drew up the schedule. I hope I don't have to sit through another one of their games all season.

The only part of the game I was able to see was Chargers last possession and Broncos. With Wilson hitting Jeudy for 47 yards when he had a defender in his face and only able to throw with his arm. That drive he looked the best he’d been and considering the Broncos were in the lead I thought he’d been playing well the whole first half. Which is when I made my post. Of course the wheels fell off the bus and the Broncos sputtered again. But he had his moment of looking good, which is better than anything else he’s shown.
Doesn't matter - they still found a way to lose. There's no good losses or moral victories in the NFL. They're 2-4 right at the bottom of the division with the 1-4 Raiders. Lol. All Hackett is doing is rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic - this ship is sinking fast. They got the hot Jets coming in this week who'll be favored. When a team find ways to lose & your star-studded, future HOF QB can't lead the team to victory - you know you're in big trouble.
Ekeler is an interesting story. He comes from a small farming town in Northern Colo (Eaton) which is about 70 miles from where I live in the Northern suburbs of Denver. He played college ball at Division II Western Colorado, which is located at the high mountain town of Gunnison (my brother went there for a few years).
Undrafted in 2017 & now firmly in the Charger's rotation as a proven pass catching RB (92 pass receptions in 2019). They say pound for pound he's the strongest player in the league right now. He's a fireplug at 5-8, 200 with good speed (4.48). You can watch some of his workout videos on YouTube where he's a beast in the squats & his specialty: one-arm pullups.
