Lance is a jerk and he's a doper.

The thing is, he's never been a jerk to someone that did not cross him first. People forget that. Simeoni did not have to testify against Ferrari, for instance, and possibly ruin Armstrong's career. I'm not agreeing with how LA handled it, but it's not like he goes out of his way to attack people that aren't doing anything to him. He's actually known for being a really generous guy to his friends, which is why he inspires such loyalty, and we all know about his charity work.

I really don't see him a major jerk in the true sense of the word, but I digress...

What was wrong with testifying against Ferrari?

Would it be because:

"Ferrari is a Legend" (The Arbiter, 2009).

No, he's definitely a jerk.

I don't have a problem with him being a jerk, any more then I have a problem with Zabriskie being a goof ball, Hincapie being boring, or Cadel Evans being a bit insane/unhinged.

I just don't see how personality matters in the doping accusations.

:D That, my friend, is pure comedy gold. You poor thing, clinging on to your beliefs. I just hope you keep the comedy coming in a few months when your hero is taking showers with Compton's finest.

You know, I heard Hitler was very similar. So nice to his friends. It's a shame Churchill et al couldn't just see that and leave him alone.

I don't think Lance can get out in front of this fast enough now. I am surprised. This is starting to hurt him.

really?? I don't know, after last year's TDF it became apparent that the LA media machine orchestrated by him had some serious chinks in the armor. The Contador situation made him look petty and desperate. His first interview after Flandisgate broke brought back that same desperation.

I for one am pretty excited that the press has finally stopped printing the 'never failed a drug test' line unchallenged. That's a sign right there that they've stopped simply repeating the LA press releases for their 'journalism'.

Yes. Simeoni could have perjured himself to protect a complete git.

Anyway Simeoni did not implicate Lance, he only told the truth about his own relationship with Ferrari.

Bassons only "crime" was to write in a newspaper column that he wasn't taking PED's and found the race so unbelievably fast, and that so many guys appeared to be up to the usual tricks that he found the whole experience disheartening.

All the other riders in the race managed to avoid a sociopathic reaction to this honesty.

Lance doesn't have any friends. His favourite charity is himself.

People who have cancer don't get to have their heroes placed above the law.

Yes I don't get hung up on the personality thing either. He always has been fairly arrogant and that can really rub people up the wrong way. I just don't understand the hatred.

I can truly say there is not a single pro-cyclist that I hate. Not one. I have huge respect for all of them.

I don't even hate anyone on this message board to be honest. Bloody annoying at times though. How do I put up with it? :p

Well Frankie Andreu said he never saw Lance dope, which was perjury. I don't see anyone calling for him to be arrested.

Lance doesn't have any friends. His favourite charity is himself.

That's just a mantra on forums like this. Nobody really believes that.

What's the name of that internet law that Hitler will be mentioned after so many posts?

Godwin's Law.

And to be honest, don't people know some history? Why jump to the ringleader when there were others who were part of the Nazi circus. Nobody accuse people of being Himmler, Eichmann, or even Hess. Can't people use a little more imagination when using misguided analogies?

Back to who might/might not talk, I've wondered about how much Sean Yates knows. I think I read somewhere that he looked after a young LA when the latter joined Motorola.

By the way, Road Bike Review forums seems like a nice site. I've been posting in the doping forum over there for the past few weeks as Rex Hunter.

Not too busy though.

No, I bought some at Earthfare. Even when you tell the truth you lie.

Also note that I am not racing and had a doctor tell me to try it for a specific reason. O'fer.

Oh yes, the "specific reason" defense. ;)

Do you have backdated TUE?

Hey Rex!

A lot of people who pointed out the obvious (that Armstrong is Pharmstrong)at RBR were banned by coolhand.

They're here now.

But they were just following orders.
