According to Hamilton’s version of events at the restaurant, Armstrong repeatedly asked Hamilton how much he had been paid to appear on '60 Minutes' and that the Texan’s legal team will "(expletive) destroy you," "tear you apart on the witness stand," and "make your life a living (expletive) hell."

It looks like Lance "expects" to be indicted then. Being that he's talking about the future here. If there is no case, then he wouldn't have said something like this.

This is where Armstrong has incriminated himself. By referencing the “witness stand” and how Hamiltonis going to be “torn apart” is suggesting; I know you’re a witness and I’m going to pressure you not to tell the truth.

Such a stupid thing to do. It would be slightly different if he said “you’re stupid and I hate you” but to reference a trial has done himself in.

apologies if this is just a reprint (it's hard to keep track): A FATAL MISTAKE?

In fact, this may have been Armstrong biggest mistake of all. Even if prosecutors find themselves unable to indict him on a drug charge, they could still nail Armstrong for obstruction of justice.

As usual, the comments are the best part of any LA article.
Amazing to me how many people still think the entire investigation is solely about whether or not Armstrong was doping.

what book deal????? Keep hearing about a book deal from the mouths of the Armstrong spinners, but no proof?

"Tyler's Book" has been a discussion topic on this forum and others too for a while now.

Think it goes back to some comments made by Tyler years ago about a "cycling mafia".
Hinted that he was going to write a book someday.
Maybe have a pre-launch book release party at the Mafia's favorite hangout?

And Tyler has not denied a Book coming out, has he?

But I always figured Tyler would do a Movie Deal not Book Deal.
Drama Queen.
Maybe IMax.
Meryl Streep in title role.
Summer Blockbuster.

Meanwhile, MLB pitcher Livan Hernandez has been linked to drug trafficking in Puerto Rico

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...hernandezs-drug-ring-ties/?page=all#pagebreak

Now the target of a federal money-laundering investigation, Mr. Hernandez is suspected of being a “straw buyer” for Ayala-Vazquez, according to a high-ranking law enforcement source. A straw buyer purchases items for others in their own name, allowing the proceeds from illegal activities such as drug trafficking to be hidden…

Federal investigations have three levels of people of interest: focus, subject and target. A target is the most advanced level. This means Mr. Hernandez has been advised he is under federal investigation, either in person or via a “target letter.”

When asked to comment, Hernandez takes a page right out of LA’s playbook:

it bothers me because we’ve done many good things in Puerto Rico, many good things with children.”

And check out that picture of him at the top of the story. Is there any other sport where a guy in that kind of shape can compete, let alone be a (one-time) star?

Let's hope there was a witness to these words--a cell phone recording perhaps.

Lance being Lance. Intimidation. Grrrr.
50 indictments of Lance being Lance.
Maybe one will stick.

Hamilton has zero reason to lie about this. Zero. He's the one trying to put this behind him.

But why did Tyler want to go outside and have a private conversation?
Better reception?
Feds put a wire on Floyd lol.

TH should have had a pen-cam, if he'd gone there with a pen-cam clipped onto his front pocket Lance would've been busted hard and the footage could've hit the media

these guys gotta invest in some pen-cams

So if LA is indicted for witness tampering, because it was recent, the feds can disregard the statute of limitations act, as dates are no longer an issue?

Speaking with people who have or may testify against you. Lance's lawyers amy go for a corrupt cop defence. It's what everyone does it. It's general practice rather than exception. tyler may have done it himself at lesser documented instances?
Corrupt, or be corrupted. the one who draws the knife soonest, lives longest. That kind of crap. Cycling is a hard world. And, a cancer killing legacy to protect. 28 million may not suffer, even if they already do so.

My take, Lance is on T again, preparing for some run or tri appearance. Just couldn't contain himself. I'm surprised not only that he has not been beat up (daily) in his life, but that he also doesn't seem to ever want to be the one to make the first swing.

I believe it is common social etiquette to take an awkward or potentially confrontational conversation away from public. Another way of asking your question is why would LA want a crowd?

one might assert that LA believes he is above etiquette, which is part of this issue all along

Huffington Post has the latest as well..

Again, read the comments. There are several who are just now coming to terms with "maybe he did do it"... Welcome to the conversation folks...

Here's a good one
"Given the scientology-like character assasination PR campaign Armstrong's Lawyers employ, you'd think there would be more positive news that would come out about the cyclist. Unfortunately, you can't hide behind a force field of "fighting cancer for the kids", when your empire is built on systematic tax fraud, breech of contract with the Federal Government, international drug trafficking and what may very well be blatant and intentional perjury to federal invvestigators. You can't blame the media for all the bad news against you if that's all there is."

ah, don't...

what the bracelet stands for to many is completely different than the man himself...

(this from someone who wore one myself up 'til a year or so ago... i was a wee bit embarrassed about it near the end, so i wore it with the black "HARDEN THE F*** UP" band  i wore it for me only.)
