Oh please spare us the histrionics. Try very hard to see that not EVERYONE has the same view as you do. What is not normal is that you picked up on some type of inside or closed post and decided to go all abnormal on it. That is my opinion by the way.

2 spare the time try not to troll a post which you undoubtedly do not understand the meaning of.

My point is that it's not even effective trolling. Their posts have no value: no humor, no insight, and add nothing to the discussion. They're both putting in a lot of effort to seem clever, but it's forced and not the least bit entertaining. It's equally as painful to see the pains they go through to maintain their manufactured identities, and the end result is stilted, cumbersome prose.

Yeah, I do like to take the doping issue seriously from time to time. The sport continues to embarrass itself from the top down; there are moments of levity, to be sure, but eventually guys like Flicker and Polish need a kick in the balls (IRL, as the kids say).

Moreover I love the subtext of Flicker and Polish comments. It's easy to identify zealots of either stripe by how strong their agreement/disagreement is. They are the heartbeat of this issue!

I'm zealous about having a path for talented, clean, non-cheating junior riders to make it to the pros, and as long as we continue to broadcast the fallacy that doping is a choice only well-informed adults make, that path doesn't exist.

Doping at the pro level has a trickle-down effect.

I'm a GL fan and a reformed Lance fan.

Not sure how or why we would compare the two medical situations, however.

It is not mutually exclusive to believe that Lance had advanced cancer, and was also a major doper.

---

Friend of mine died of cancer recently. He was a par golfer, even though he was blind. Balding early, he tried using DMSO on his head to treat his receding hairline.

He still lost more hair and all kinds of nasty stuff came out of DMSO later. Best theory is that caused his blindness. For all I know, it could have caused his cancer as well.

However he contracted the cancer, whether by his own foolishness or not, cancer sucks and he still went too early.

Dave.

I thought it was obvious what my point was?

LA's PR spin machine doctors were able to capitalize on his battle with C, which frankly I always thought was a bit blown out of proportion, and have been so successful at it, because so many people either have it or know someone with it. Being shot is a pretty rare event; few can relate to it and even fewer survive it.

Totally agree and the subtext in some of their arguments show that they sarcastically agree as well. They didn't want me to spell it out...

Yeah, I catch some of that as well. I'm not oblivious, but frustrated nonetheless.

Mr Pop, I would like to think that me and flicker not only "dish it out" in the CN Clinic, but we also "take it". Dish it out AND take it.

But when a fellow forumite threatens physical violence "in the real world" (IRL), that is getting kinda creepy.

Now it is one thing to chase a guy/gal down and give them a dirty look.
Grrrr. (Some guys/gals can pull that off better than others lol)
But quite another to go and kick a guy in the nutz.
That is not Strong - That is just Wrong.

Anyway, at times like these I like to quote from the Livestrong Org.
Not sure how old you are, so here are a couple links:

Or if you are afraid of getting Lance Cookies on your computer, here is a link to the Mayo Clinic. Be forewarned - the Mayo Clinic has those bothersome Google Adsense advertising links too. You can opt out btw.

As far as drug use, the morals police(such as the haters in the clinic, Carrie Nation, etc. prohibition,ie;marihuana, alcohol criminal justice system, war on drugs etc.)+criminal justice system, USDA, WADA etc, ETC,.
Jimmy on top of that athletes always are seeking an edge , it is in their nature. Add on top of that fame, chicks, ego, and general single-track mindset/douschiness of athletes, and the almighty dollar.
Please Jimmy pray tell how do we stop sports doping on any level?

How about - "Lets Kick Doping in the Ball"?

Less of the nonsense please.

Why don't you help the cause by getting rid of the obvious distractions? I still haven't heard a justification for keeping those two around.

1) You two have all but publicly outed yourselves; are your identities even "secret" any more?

2) Creepy as in Livestrong cult members contacting employers and ringing home phones because of twitter posts? Because, dude, that's pretty creepy.

Well spotted. Picking up spelling errors in Flicker's posts would be a full-time job (BTW, Flicker, it's chapeau, not chapaue).

Low hanging fruit

Oh Irony, you really shouldn't make it so easy:

Lance Armstrong speaks at Steak & Steak

I remember his first race he came in," says Pat Gartland, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club. "Can you believe that? Some people would say I'm finished in this sport. He came back. He did better and better. And came back from cancer. Those life lessons to keep fighting and you'll reach your goals is the biggest message he can bring to us.
OMG! That's sooooo amazing! YAY!
