All that just to say you're a poor troll with bad taste?

I think it was more "I got banned for posting in extremely bad taste but I'm going to waste my very first post after my suspension by whining about bad moderation in a forum I think might be safe, while slipping in a few more sophomoric jabs at RR."

+1

I'm pretty new here, so I guess I was inclined to give the benefit of the doubt, blame the language/communication gap, but I went back and read a bunch of earlier posts...

Lance still working with Ferrari, even though he has said many times he stopped 7 years ago

Syndicated too!

What's great about this story is it's not as carefully worded and generally airtight as the SI story. Fabiani's line is pretty funny. I bet he wishes there were leaks. There would be more for him to work with.

I'm patient, but still waiting for the Felony convictions for many Tailwind principals.

"Government sources are leaking inaccurate rumors to create the false impression that this taxpayer money-wasting fishing expedition actually has a purpose," Fabiani said.

Justification for the $30,000 per month fee: waste of taxpayer money AND fishing expedition in ONE sentence. The guy sets the bar high...

I always find it funny/interesting how people turned Ferrari's quote about orange juice into some sort of horrible doping comment, when in reality he was talking about how overuse of anything can be bad.

(Just to clarify for those who seem to find their own meaning in posts: I am not commenting on guilt or innocence of LA or Ferrari, simply commenting on one aspect of Ferrari discussion from the past)

I don't see how the comparison works, though.

Overuse orange juice > you throw up immediately.

Overuse PEDs > you start driving faster, winning prizes, and suddenly, after years of overusage, you find out you have testicular cancer, liver problems, and got knows what...

I don't think putting PEDs on a par with orange juice is a responsible comment to make from a medic's point of view.

Let's keep this thread on Armstrong. Armstrong/Ferrari sure, but if it's about Ferrari only a thread can be created to discuss those issues.

Ferrari/Armstrong Syndicated story.

I checked comments on the latest story.

USA Today's is the best. They posted the story with a picture of Armstrong from some publicity event. In the back of the photo is a woman. The comments suggest the readers are confused thinking that Ferrari is the woman in the photo. That's about the level of awareness most Americans have of the whole thing.

Sports Illustrated site overrun with the usual tired phrases. Every once in a while it looks like something sensible is posted and not shouted down.

it has always boggled my mind that anyone took armstrong (a known sociopathic liar) at face value when he made his official statement in 2004 saying he was no longer working with ferrari.

it also always seemed self-evident that armstrong only came out of retirement after consulting ferrari and being reassured that he knew how to get around the biological passport.

all this seemed completely logical.

anything else was silly fan's wet dream.

while I dont disagree with your premise allow me to suggest that it is a bit out of line calling him a "known sociopath liar" with out concrete evidence to support.

1. Cue the Simeoni video. (Sociopath.)

2. Cue the SCA testimony video. (Liar.)

There isn't enough time in the world for me to compile the complete list for you.

Not just that, but also be reassured that he could win the Tour again. How else would he have been so delusional to think he could beat his teammate in 2009?

haha you're right. 'Delusional' as a side-effect from the PEDs...pumped up and seriously believing that he would win. What an ego...

i think the the physiological dimension (and i'm willing to concur that ferrari played a part) was secondary to the psychological calculation behind the comeback 2.0

in that sense texas was not delusional counting on crushing contador's will and self-confidence. after all, similar arrogant assaults in the past worked like a charm every time...

of course, as we've learned, it was the biggest mistake armstrong ever made - underestimating contador's will and willingness to fight back. he met his match...

to me, the way texas forced himself on the team with the existing structure, formed around the proven leader is and always will remain the ugliest episode in his career.

and i say this fully realizing there wre plenty of other ugly episodes - from chasing simeoni to abusing betsy to what not...

ferrari's reassurances were secondary to the unmeasurable arrogance and vanity of the immense ego this man always put ahead of everything else.

in a nut shell, this is the quintessential reason why i'm one of his most determined detractors.
