Sure, thehog, Lance is close to being broke.
About as close as you are to HAVING a hundred+ million.

And RR - what legal fees?
Lance's Dream Team have been bored silly since the Motion was filed.
"Why don't you ever call anymore, Lance?"
But the Motion was money VERY well spent. Genius.

But selling the Jet is a great PR move.
Lots of people dislike the "corporate jet fat cats".
Suprised Lance did not put the jet up for sale a while back.
Maybe he did? Has that jet been for sale before? Last year or 2010?

Benotti69, where have you been?
Ever since the GJ ended you haven't been around much. Miss you.

He might have to sell it because the "Foundation" owned it and the IRS are not happy about his liberal playtime with the funds.
I'm sure he's got enough bucks to have a NetJets timeshare so he won't be rubbing elbows with the unwashed in coach anytime soon.

Spin little Polish, spin.

Not sure anyone is going to want to buy a jet they may get impounded by the Feds.

Besides no way I'd want to go near a piece of machinery paid out of the Lance Fairness Fund.

Yeah, a 38 year old coming off of 3 years retirement that was still able to podium is real unimpressive. Have you checked out Sofia Vegara's wardrobe malfunction?

It's amazing he was able to do that. I wonder how he did it.... Everyone else competing at that level is under suspicion or convicted of doping....and yet this specimen of a human being PODIUMS at 38.

Wow. A less realistic world would still be raving about this remarkable achievement. I wonder why Christians aren't converting to Lancianity.

Well... except for you

How much of his legal bills could he put on the LiveStrong tab, you think?
And, who own's the Jet BTW, can LA cash in himself, or is it LA's way of allowing LS to pay for the legal bills he's getting them into?
I just can never tell when it's LA or LS paying bills, confusing.

Did LA get to sell that discounted house in the end?

I believe the plane is owned (or leased) by Livestrong (the .org). Curiously, it is rather similar to another private jet used under the auspices of a "global miracle crusade": that of the reverend Benny Hinn (also of Texas):

Anybody else see any other similarities?

Is that Duffy flying the plane?

(The flight logs are on the internet so you can compare the reg number)

No flight logs for registration N7LA on Armstrong's plane

I can understand the "LA" but the "7" has me puzzled.

7 wonders of the world? Lucky 7? 7 deadly sins? :)

The Gulfstream reg. no N7LA is registered in the name of MELLOW JOHNNYS AVIATION LLC - very LA related.

The registration was assigned in October 2009 from another aircraft being a Cessna Skylane (piston-single) (C182/A). Either that was LA's previous kite when he was slumming it or he paid for the assignment of the registration from the owner of that plane.

While they may actively promote the myth there is no indication that the foundation pays for Armstrong jet or legal fees.

the more i think about it the more i think this new article in the outside could inflict more damage on texas and open more eyes...i can't even start comprehending the legality of the idea of using a cancer foundation resources and reputation to fight off doping charges of any athlete much less armstrong's - the founder. it's a joke.

either american legal system is screwed up or my world needs deep revisions..

Wonder how long before Live$trong HQ starts thinking about a damage limitation strategy to try and stop what at first seemed to be a snowball thrown by a source with 'no credibility' into the now impending avalanche that buries it into oblivion.

It must be top most in their minds at the moment how to get Armstrong to admit to doping, make a deal with the feds and go online with some blub story surrounded by cancer patients.

It's not just the legal side but the ethical side. We now live in a world of transparency. The fact that last years financials are still to appear on the website is most concerning. The entire .org / .com thing needs a review. A domain suffix should never be the distinction between profit and charity. Then there's Demand Media which co fuses everything. It's not good reading.

2005 was probably the Cleanest TdF in 20 years.
Facts and evidence back that up.

Although hydration drips were still legal.
And Lance was powered by the most awesome fuel known to man since the early 80's:
His own blood.

2003 and 2004 were pretty clean too.
Thanks to Lance for pulling that "Yannick Noah" omerta breakage.
Things were beginning to look up. Until 2006 yikes.

Way to double down. If only it were true.

But you are right, Lance did break the omerta in 2004 to an extent. When he chased down Simeoni (Who only pointed out that Lance was seeing Ferrari...I cannot understand that because Lance always admitted he was using Ferrari all the time every day. No secret motor home meetings), he broke the story that omerta was alive and well and in full force. I think Lance wishes he were born Sicilian, but he went the weak whiteboy omerta enforcement and only simulated a cut throat. He doesn't have the balls to actually do it. Literally.

This is where it always goes. I wonder if you have photos of an jet fitted with a low end interior that would be more suitable. So if the math works out and Armstrong can fly to 4 or 5 places on a private/charter and raise mounds of cash, he should wait for Jet Blue or South West instead to maintain humility in your eyes?
I am glad that the livestrong charities are in place, not only for the people they help but also the people they employ. If showing photos of what you consider to be posh planes and offices is telling to Lance's guilt the outcome of the US legal system is going to crush you

Are you subjected to some kind of legal obligation to make statements like this?
