I do wonder what the Livestrong army of interns do when they come across articles about Armstrong's doping. In the good old days they would just post 1000 comment about him being an inspiration etc. Now what do they do?

Was a bit suspicious of the heading .."Raising Awareness"

Try this then

"If Yaroslax Popyvych (whose house was raided, yielding drugs and evidence of continued Ferrari ties according to SI) wants to look innocent, he should get the hell off of Tenerife before issuing his denial"

"If Armstrong did gain access to HemAssist while the drug was in clinical trials, to borrow a phrase from Vice President Joe Biden, "this is a big f***ing deal.” Frankly, it's irrelevant that Lance Armstrong might have gotten ahold of it -- it’s a big problem regardless of who's involved. People have been bleating for months about why FDA would be involved in this sort of investigation. This is why."

"If things go severely downhill for Armstrong, then I’m guessing there are only two options: stone-faced denial until the very end of his life, or burn-baby-burn and everyone goes down with him. Middle ground has never been his strong suit"

To the point of “should the FDA be involved in such an investigation” and “…a waste of taxpayers money” one should reference the Festina trials in France. Occurring some 3 years after the event the trail was 3 and half years of investigation into drug trafficking, drug procuring, and drug distribution conducted by the French police, the French ministry with funding by the French government. It was a watershed in French sport. Yes French cyclists have used PED’s since 1998 but most importantly many programs form the grass roots funded by the government were installed to insure that PED couldn’t find their way into sport and that the riders were educated on the risk of taking drugs. The French introduced their version of the Bio-passport years before the UCI ever even talked about it. Richard Virenque who like Armstrong wrote a book titled “My Truth” whereby he denied the use of PED’s and all of his performances were based on “inspiration and hard work” alone finally confessed. It was the prospect of jail and which lead to the tearful confession in open court. French cycling needed this moment. It was in the pits – the sport in France was a disgrace and its borders were awash with drugs which encouraged all sort of criminal elements into the country. No matter what anyone ever thinks of such an investigation into Armstrong and PED’s - it will bring about change and the ultimate good not just for cycling but for all sports and the proliferation of PED trafficking and use.

Agree with you Hog.

Armstrong has to be punished and made an example. A precedent has to be set so that the young kids know that it is not ok to win by cheating. It is not ok doing illegal actions to win at all costs. It's not ok for karma and for health. And it's not fair for the people who perform without PEDs.

Agreed and the Bonds case may set that precedent for the US's big-time sports although Barry doesn't seem capable of shedding tears.

Lance FIRES back!!! But I won't talk about the investigation but did I mention cancer (tm)?
--
Cycling legend Lance Armstrong tells Bicycling magazine in an exclusive interview that ongoing investigations into alleged doping violations during his career will not sidetrack him from any advocacy work or participation with his Livestrong Foundation to benefit cancer research.

Armstrong’s comments appear in the May 2011 issue of Bicycling that hits newsstands next week. Armstrong spoke to the magazine on the condition that it not question him directly about the investigation or about performance enhancing drugs.

“If people think that I am going to be distracted or we (Livestrong) are going to be sidetracked from our mission, they are sorely mistaken,” Armstrong told Bicycling. “The last thing I am is a quitter. So I would reiterate to anybody in the cycling community who wants to question my commitment or the passion of this organization, they are making a big mistake.

“We are all a team in this fight and my commitment is full-time now. I am committed for as long as I need to be, and it's not going to go away in a month or a year.”

Another Non-Response Response

The guy completely shifts the topic from 'doper? Yes or No' to some weird nonsense hiding behind the sick and dying to defend himself. The exact definition of the term 'human shield.'

Yeah, that's what champions do.

Exactly!

It almost makes you think the original Bicycling article was a set-up.

... also, doesn't the picture, with the yellow bracelet, kind of look like he is in handcuffs?

Dave.

Lance is looking at a much more important legacy.

He wants to go down in history books as the guy that saved cancer.

Besides, doping for the Tour is like bluffing in poker. Why deny part of the game?

Dave.

Ah yes, the next grand tour. The prologue consists of the delousing and the cavity search:eek:. Good times, good times.

Thanks flicker, I enjoyed that too!

Check out Lance's CADENCE yikes.
Spinning like never before.
Looks like he lost a lot of weight too.

Anyway, that is when I first started becoming a fanboy.
Thought he was such a punk during the 90's. Not a fan back then nope.

Who knows, maybe someday I will become an Alberto fan.
Bang Bang. Maybe not lol.

Someone over on Bicycling.com is very upset with "Mr. Radio."
Race Radio LIES
Just a small portion:
FACT: All of your allegations and baseless speculations are utter nonsense and intended only to damage LIVESTRONG.

FACT: I have used my name as a sign in for these comments, and YOU are???

FACT: I do not work for LIVESTRONG. I am an airline pilot, business owner, and LIVESTRONG supporter. I am a proud cancer survivor largely due to the information provided by the dedicated and incredibly hard working staff of cancer hating zealots at LIVESTRONG Headquarters in Austin. They deserve respect and NOT your lies and other garbage!

FACT: I have no idea why you would waste your time lying about the LIVESTRONG Foundation, perhaps at some point you were somehow mistreated by someone at LIVESTRONG, or Armstrong out climbed one of your spandex-clad heroes, or your parents just raised an idiot, but frankly I have had enough of your lies and know more will be coming because that is all you have. Regardless, I HOPE the LIVESTRONG Foundation will take action against you by subpoenaing your IP address from this publication and others, and then sue your a$$ off. :D

FACT: I hope prior to suing your a$$ off, LIVESTRONG lawyers are compassionate enough to give you time to remove your head!

What's that supposed to mean?

He wouldn't be proud if it weren't for the "hard working staff of cancer hating zealots"

Or he wouldn't have survived if it weren't for the "hard working staff of cancer hating zealots"

I too hope they make a libel claim against RR, of course it could never happen.

lol @ this, is this supposed to be a good thing?

"FACT: In 2009 LIVESTRONG hosted the world’s FIRST Global Cancer Summit and paid for the travel and expenses of over 500 delegates from 60 nations and LIVESTRONG staff attending in support of the global cancer awareness event."

Thanks again.

The Great Thing about Lance's Legacy is that he has left behind 1000's of hours of video history.
And as the years roll by, the will age like fine wine. Fun to review!
Too bad Eddy did not leave behind as much video history sigh.
Fausto too. And black and white - no celeste:(

Gee, um thanks for the support.

This was part of a very organized effort to smear me for daring to ask questions. A few weeks ago I noticed that several highly placed Livestrong people were following me on Twitter. I sent them a message that I had some questions about the charity and asked if they would the answer them for me. They said yes and their lead spokesperson gave me her email address.

I sent this email list of questions. http://www.scribd.com/doc/51738605/Livestrong-questions

Her response was to refuse to answer my questions via email and say that the only way it could be done would be if I flew to Austin and met them in their offices..... Despite the promises of "Transparency" I got the brush off.

I had no intention of making my questions public however yesterday I looked at my twitter mentions and saw that a wide variety of people who I had never interacted with, followed, or knew, were encouraging their followers to confront me. At first it was harmless, sharing positive stories about how Livestrong helped them, but it quickly degenerated into dozens of personal attacks. Many of these personal attacks included reference to some of the topics I included in my email. As I had yet to post my email it appeared to me as some form of coordinated effort to smear me. My posting of the email was an attempt to clarify the misrepresentations that many people were suddenly claiming of me....of course this just made them step up their campaign.

In the last 24 hours I have been accused of a wide variety of things online and been the target of a flood of insults. My questions remain unanswered.....Attack the messenger, a common tactic of those with something to hide.
