The article said that it was MANDATORY. Not just mandatory, but mandatory across the Pac-12. That means institutional doping--in every Pac-12 school. The article also said that people were getting injected in Pac-12 weight rooms.
A secret like that cannot be kept. First, there are too many honest people associated with the sport. Second, there are always spurned players who turn on the team when their expectations are not met. Third, there are reporters who would drool (and pay) for a story about institutional doping. Fourth, the story lacked even the slightest hint at proof or even a credible source.
Like I said. The article is garbage.
It could be something of poetic license. But, if it is literal, we are likely splitting hairs.
It is also mandatory if you want to win the Tour.
Personally, I am not going to make a big fuss about how mandatory, mandatory is - or if this is not inclusive of any red-shirted player. If Nike is a sponsor for any Pac-12 school, that may clinch it. And, looks like they sponsor all of them.
