I agree with you that steroid use is rampant in college football.

The article said that it was MANDATORY. Not just mandatory, but mandatory across the Pac-12. That means institutional doping--in every Pac-12 school. The article also said that people were getting injected in Pac-12 weight rooms.

A secret like that cannot be kept. First, there are too many honest people associated with the sport. Second, there are always spurned players who turn on the team when their expectations are not met. Third, there are reporters who would drool (and pay) for a story about institutional doping. Fourth, the story lacked even the slightest hint at proof or even a credible source.

Like I said. The article is garbage.

It could be something of poetic license. But, if it is literal, we are likely splitting hairs.

It is also mandatory if you want to win the Tour.

Personally, I am not going to make a big fuss about how mandatory, mandatory is - or if this is not inclusive of any red-shirted player. If Nike is a sponsor for any Pac-12 school, that may clinch it. And, looks like they sponsor all of them.

So I am going to ask if there has been any mention recently of LA's plans to show up the last week of leTour??
Given the sad state of the RS team in this Tour I am wondering what his purpose besides PR might be, or if the reality of this plan has been overshadowed by other pressing issues?

Hopefully he will stay in Austin or wherever he calls home these days, and save the fuel & running costs of the Livestrong pony express from another hop across the pond.

Nothing to celebrate, other than duping the sponsors into filling Bruyneel's pockets for another two years of buying soon-to-be shelf-expired riders with questionable past's and capabilities.

The white lunch bags seem to have lost their magic this year.....

Federal grand jurors, grand jury court reporters and the prosecutors running the federal grand jury are under a strict duty to keep any “matter occurring before the grand jury” a secret. This duty is codified in Rule 6(e) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. The rule of federal grand jury secrecy does not apply to federal grand jury witnesses . If you are a federal grand jury witness, you have the right to tell the whole world about your grand jury testimony. But some federal prosecutors attach cover letters to grand jury subpoenas, informing the witness that revealing the contents, or even the existence, of the subpoena “may impede” a criminal investigation.

Why would a George Hincapie leak to the press-but it has been widely reported that he testified. In addition, some federal grand juries have waiting rooms where multiple witnesses are invited to wait until they are called. In these situations, each witness is told, in effect, that the other witnesses waiting with him have been summoned to appear “before the grand jury.”
