Overreacting

So whaddya think now people? Still wondering how dirty this scum bag is?
If you'd accidentally killed your partner, would you want to return to the place of the lowest moment in your life? Or if you are full blown sociopath would you like to go back to your shrine and relive your sick twisted fantasy?
Oh and Nike's new poster boy wants to be allowed to travel freely PLUS have the option to renege on drug testing.
Someone should put this vermin down and do everyone a favour or lock him away and throw the key away. I have no doubt now of this guys guilt. Any contrite and remorseful person would not dare ask for this. Heck they'd be grateful bail was granted given the nature of their crime. Only someone with major psychological traits that are synonymous with sociopaths, would have the arrogance and belief to do this. Over indulged sense of self entitlement thrown in to. Odds of this getting approved? High. Really high. South Africa after all have a rapist as their President

What do I think? You are way over-reacting. Firstly, all the Daily Telegraph article only says is he wants to change his bail conditions. That does not mean they will be changed. The judge will decide. But simply because he wants to change his bail conditions does not mean the guy is guilty.
Sure the defence put forward at first blush seems absurd, especially when you see the layout of the bedroom/bathroom and the very unlikely scenario someone could break in through the bathroom window. It sounds more like to me Reeva p)$$ed him off (probably very easy to do) and his short fuse reacted by grabbing the gun and shooting her.
Is Oscar a sociopath? We don't know because we do not have a medical diagnosis. Are some of his past and present behaviours indicative of a possibly sociopathetic personality. Sure they are. Did drugs play a role in his reputation as a hot head (or subliminally in his performances)? Perhaps. Was it the continued use of PEDs that explains his erratic behaviour over the last couple of years? Maybe.
However if I am defending Oscar and I want the heat and furor to die down, I would want my client somewhere other than SA. That means reporting conditions have to be changed. Oscar may have medical evidence that he doesn't need drug testing? It may be he has legitimate business interests outside of SA he needs to attend to. For example saving his endorsements to have income to pay his lawyer. But think about it the guy is fightng for his life.
Sure on the face of it, Oscar wanting to move home is a bit goulish, but the news reports out of SA indicate there is a split in the family and perhaps living at his uncle's house is untenable.
Also keep in mind, that the state's response to this application may reveal a gold mine of information that the defence may not otherwise get through disclosure. So maybe a bail application to change conditions is a legal tactical manoeuvre by his lawyer. And when you make that kind of application you ask for more than you are likely to get.
While I am not sympathetic to Oscar's story, by law he is still innocent until proven guilty. And I suspect you are a law abiding citizen and as such abide by the law. Guilt is based on evidence and not rhetoric, innuendo and speculation.
