A win that gives Colbrelli a place in history. Well deserved after attacking early, driving an attack, riding sensibly after being caught by one of the cross freaks, then taking the sprint. You can’t win a drenched Roubaix from a three man selection and not deserve it.

Vermeersch the story of the day. A star is born.

Moscon, dreadful, disappointing defeat from a winning position couldn’t happen to a nicer guy

Laporte 6th despite having no brakes and doing an epic faceplant

Thanks for the info, i.e. I still didn't know who that unfortunate face planted Cofidis rider was who went into the ditch head first. Funny fact: he'll be riding with Wout van Aert on the same team next year.

Some people try to blame Roglic' inability to stay upright in the Tour on Colbrelli.

Roglic haunts the minds of Colbrelli fans, i.e. they're not just content with wins (& monuments!), no, they must prove he's a saintly super nice person as well.

Moscon probably had it before the flat and the crash, but I I did not expect Colbrelli to beat MVdP in a three-up sprint. Italy is ecstatic.

Who would have thought that in this era of new super talents the older stock that would keep on giving them hardest time in many races would be this one Sonny guy.

Van der Poel needs to Sagan up and stop working, but also risk not winning of course.
