The new GOAT stopped only by the great French hope

Much more interesting than Isaac Del Toro's sidestory

Right away you rate his decision making superior to Remco because he doesn't show up to races that don't suit him.
Just like Remco, Seixas already starting with an outstanding, TT baseline very young.
He just put @15 guys on notice. Del Toro with a decent ride, but it's going to take more than above average to beat powerful Paul.
Seixas will be under immediate pressure from UAE because they put 3 riders in good position after the TT.
Like I said before, a great quality of Seixas is he does his own work, guy has the complete package, The guy makes having few strong teammates less of a liability He can counter almost anything that top @20 riders can throw at him.
Ineos, Bora also will have to really push him. Will UAE flip the script and make Del Toro work for others who put time into him..
That would be a mistake. Del Toro is still a vastly superior climber and puncheur to McNulty and Grosschartner and this route is hard enough to produce differences every day.

A demolition job today against a field packed with most of the best riders in the tiers below Tadej and Jonas.

If he is as convincing as this in the hardest stages this week then with his development arc you have to start thinking seriously about him finishing 2nd in the Tour this year at 19.

Haven’t seen the race myself but nice result. Expect 100km of ITT in the TDF next year
That's a possible take...... we may see two decent length TTs in the Tour next year.
I won't be so optimistic to say 100km overall but 60km-80km would be a start.

A new French hope is indeed exciting, as well as being a burden to bear. But having a star cyclist from Mexico is also great sauce.

This is my thinking now. I'm even wondering if he can threat Pogacar. I know he got crushed in SB, but we still have 3 months until the Tour and his trajectory is going up really fast.
