Just answered my own question, if Friedburg is with Pegasus then he's not there because of the Perth Track comp that was on the weekend. Incidentally, he came 3rd to Cameron Meyer in the 10K Scratch.

So it appears so. Now that is either 23 or 24 riders now. I'm sure (cba to go back through the thread) I read that they were aiming for a squad of 23. Does that mean Freidburg isn't going to Pegasus?

Oh...and a pic for those enjoying the increasing chill in Europe...

Edit: Planned 25 man squad, so one more. Scott Davis or Matt Wilson I think (unless its another out of contract conti-team aussie)

Because I can:

pegasus1.png

1 Cantwell
2 Kemps
3 Knees
4 Roberts
5 Day/Crawford?
6 Traksel
7 Avery/Impey?
8 Rohregger
9 Klimov?
10 Zajicek
11 Dennis
12 Sulzberger
13 McEwen
14 Cornu
15 Lowe
16 Lill
17 Morajko
18 Lapthorne
19 Thomson

Anyone know if anything on that list is wrong? If #5 is Day or Crawford, he's ****ing camera shy, almost didn't see his legs there!

Means, Freiburg, Hunter, Tuft, Avery/Impey and one of the FlyV boys is missing.

I dont think Avery is obliged to wear the RS jersey as a stagaire, so Impey.

5 could be Tuft (in the set of training photos there are two garmin jerseys)

Cool story.

Baldwin and Sheldon added to Vigirn-MorganRBS. Wonder which Aussies are going there as well. The U/23 team shall be interesting when named too.

Pegasus could have 3 teams at the nationals

Pegasus have announced that they have wildcards to tour down under, oman, qatar, gent wevelgem, tirrenno adriatico and some other RCS races.

Full story here!

you didn't read that article very well mate.

Whether Pegasus receives an invitation to the Tour Down Under, the first of 26 races on the 2011 UCI World Tour calendar, is yet to be confirmed

hahahahaha ..

CW is delusional .. he talks a big game to his own detriment - the more he gets quoted and doesn't deliver, the more st_pid he looks. Ever the optimist, White said that if the team performed solidly at the Tour Down Under as well as the Tours of Qatar and Oman and “other ASO events like Paris-Nice, we’d be well-positioned to think that we’ve got an ability to do the Tour de France”.

What's wrong with paying your dues and getting good results? Wouldn't you rather manage perception by the team proving itself, rather than people question (like here on the forum) your 'potential' or 'future' competitiveness to get good results?

As much as i'd like to see them succeed, the 'non-endorsement' of the better off contract riders during the silly season speaks louder volumes than anything else.

You did not consider this comment
“We’ve already got invitations to most of the northern classics. We’ve got confirmations from Qatar and Oman. We’ve also got Ghent-Wevelgem confirmed. We don’t have Paris-Nice confirmed, but it’s something we are working towards"

got - to have received or come into posession of something
confirmed - made ceratin as to truth

If Pegasus don't race the tdu then I will streak on wilunga hill next year.

Gettin into the classics is within reach considering the big starting fields and McEwens popularity in Belgium but getting a wild card even for the 1-week stages races seems quite unlikely to me.
Tirreno-Adriatico has 4 spots available and i think the reactions to an exclusion of Geox, A&S, Androni or ISD instead of Pegasus would be quite strong in Italy. Same thing for Paris-Nice, there are already so many french teams (who have better squads than Pegasus) fighting for the wild cards that i cant believe that the ASO would give a wc to the Aussies.

Well tirenno is confirmed...and aso have already given pegasus wc to oman and qatar. I would imagine with mcewen that RCS will give them a wildcard to MSR. They supposably already have many wildcards to many other RCS events already.

And a month ago he said that the pro tour spot was pretty much certain. If CW told me that grass was green I would look out of the window to double check.
