To back up Sasquatch (who I don't know and have never met), I was on the "Fly V p/b Successful Living" staff in the first half of the 2009 season. Lets just say that things didn't exactly appear to be on the straight and level even then due to management "issues", which resulted in serious budget problems and the Successful Living half of the management team leaving Fly V not long after the Tour of California. (For the record, I'm not one of those Successful Living people, I left for other reasons, but Sasquatch isn't just making sh!t up to cause trouble. And no, I'm not going to elaborate. Not my fight.)

All I'm doing is saying why karma may be coming back to bite White on the **** without going into details.

You don't need evidence if you've witnessed it first hand and heard from the people concerned.

For people in the know like me and a few others, who have actually researched and witnessed things, it makes sense. For the people who aren't in the know such as yourself, it doesn't.

All I'm saying is that this is karma. That's it. I'm not going into details. I'm just saying it's karma and I don't need to explain why I think it's karma. Understand?

i fully understand you're not saying much - literally and figuratively...thanks for playing...afterall, this is an internet forum, and proof or evidence has never been a prerequisite for any claim or allegation of knowledge of the proper placement for "karma"...

Yes, and leaping to conlusions and taking one thing and making it into an extreme.

What part of that says that they are not going to get it at all, have sponsors pulling the plug and is falling to bits?

I'm not naive enough to think that this is all fina and dandy, there's certainly a lot of amateurish behaviour going on but until Wednesday roles on, I'm going to wait before criticising or making comment about this. Again, the media spiralling this story certainly doesn't help the team try to keep their riders happy.

absolutely, Chris White has made mistakes but they can still be rectified. It is pure speculation as to whether it is sponsorship or admin that is causing the problem. I'll wait to judge as well.

I had be so looking forward to following Pegasus next year. What a disaster. Good article tracing the demise of the team on http://www.downundercycling.weebly.com
Very sad.

Spot on article, and pretty much what some of us have been saying for months. Unfortunately an awful lot of people seem to have fallen for the spin.

If it does go tits up, lets hope most of the riders get spots for next year somewhere, with the exception of one.

And I thought you were older than you are, ACF:D

Le Groupment was THE big new team of 1995. Signed up a heap of big names: Leblanc (the reigning World Champ), Brochard, Pensec, Van Poppel, Millar, Graeme O'Bree, Arnould, Lino etc. Chose the worst jersey design of all time -think vomit after a box of fruit loops. Then went bust after a few months, leaving the riders high and dry. Good times.

Unfortunately, your beloved Pegasus is going to go the same way.

no it's not. pegasus can't even last a couple of months

Cycling history is full of such incidents. Everytimr the UCI says this is the last time. But it really demostrates the UCI's lack of authority in enforcing the rules. At least HighRoad-Slipstream got it right with personal financial investment by the men running it. Has White opened up his bank account?? From Linda McCartney team to this.....and all in between, what's changed?

Ridiculous. We wont even know until Wendesday if they haven't offically got it.

This is the same as Pegasus and Astana's documentation for ProTeam. Just wait before throwing all the damn knives.

It just isn't very professional, is it?? Look at it from the people who need to put food on the table aspect and have been depending on this. All year "yeah LeTour is our goal" to this ?????? I hope they get a sponsor, but..........

Pegasus are toast. Delusional owner, no sponsor, mediocre riders.
At least the Linda McCartny team had some reasonable riders and got off the ground and grabbed a Giro stage before going toes up.

I'm surprised so many people have been taken in by this stunt.

Disappointing, from an Australian perspective, but not exactly a unique occurrence in the pro cycling world.
I wouldn't be surprised if it all boiled down to some speculative and misconstrued gentleman's agreement, based upon Pegasus getting that all important PT pass.

Might make for a half decent "Hustle" script.

What do u mean - being wise after the event? I've never been a fan of White and his double standardized approach to management. I echo the comments from an other thread about how ironic this collapse is for the team. As sad as it is for most of the riders on the team, I'm sure McEwan is not hurting for $$.

There are a couple of guys on the team that I think Karma truely has played a role in their current situation. For the record , they are both Australians.

That's not even counting PZ. Amazingly he has gone under the mainstream radar, especially by smelonews.com

i agree that guy is pure scum.

A little far don't you think? The guy has good intentions. That does not make you scum. There are a lot of other riders on other teams who have things "coming for them" but that does not mean they deserve there team to fold.
