Yeah, with the announcement of the main part of the giro team, I think that Martinez will go as super-dom to the tour for Bernal and Thomas. The remaining question mark for me is Adam Yates. This year he didn't ride the giro neither the tour. He had very good spring results and also a solid performance at the vuelta. So the same schedule for him in 2022? Is this enough for the best british GC rider in the team in 2021?Martinez is more of a "if the opportunity arises" for him, I think. He is a super-domestic right now, who might just finish very high on GC riding in that role and as a plan B if the leader going into the race crashes or has a really bad race.
He was won Dauphine and 5th in the Giro but that dont get you a full leadership role on a team like Ineos. Not when there are multiple GT-winners in the team.
