Seriously, I know the field isn't that great here, but this could shape up as Ulissi's coming out party.

Do you guys think he's got GT potential?

After see him in Lure i think he has the potential. If he continues performing like this he's going to be the Lampre leader in the Giro without any discussion. This is the season of the take off. With 24 years... its amazing some people don't see him like a future contender in the Corsa Rosa.

He will be in the fight of the next Giro editions. No doubt about this.
Most people said the same about Riccó or Di Luca and then they had to shut up.

Don't be silly. Ulissi may have the potential, but that definitely won't happen this year. As soon as the Giro hits the big mountains Scarponi will run circles around him.

Don't know about being the leader, but I'm pretty sure he'll have a free role.
He actually rode for himself during last Giro as well, never really helping Scarponi

On the other hand, Moreno Moser was nowhere yesterday :(

I like Ulissi, but last year's Giro was mediocre---to put it friendly. Last fall he seemed to have improved and so it seems this spring. Top 15 in the upcoming Giro is certainly possible.

Absolutely. I remember I was mad at him for such conservative riding just to get a top20 (21 actually) in the end and never ever trying to help Scarponi or Cunego (remember how Damiano attacked from afar in a couple of stages?).

Everybody's favourite rider in front today Pirazzi! he has 1.25 on 9 chasers

Fabio Felline (Androni), Jaroslaw Marycz (CCC POlsat), Leonardo Duque (Colombia), Klemen Stimulak (Adria Mobil), Chris Jones e Keil Reijnen (Unitehealthcare), Manuel Amaro e Filippo Savini (Flaminia-Fondriest) e August Jensen (Team Oster Hus Ridley)

and 4.30 on the peloton after 90K

That's a shame if that's the case. I had high expectations for him in both MSR and here because he was amazing in TA. But something has happened for sure.

He was at his peak in TA, he didnt do bad in MSR, did some work in the chase after the poggio for Gatto, thats why he came in a few sec after the "bunch". Dont know if something was wrong yesterday, maybe he did some heavy training this week and started giro preparations.

Stefano Pirazzi (Bardiani Valvole - Csf) ha 2'05" sui 7 immediati inseguitori - Fabio Felline (Androni-Venezuela), Leonardo Duque (Colombia), Klemen Stimulak (Adria Mobil), Chris Jones e Keil Reijnen (Unitehealthcare), Filippo Savini (Flaminia-Fondriest) e August Jensen (Team Oster Hus Ridley) - e 3'55" sul gruppo principale

Pirazzi gaining ground on the chasers, he is such a hero !!

Where are you following it? How far from the finish?

Yeah, sounds plausible. I didn't see him pulling for Gatto in MSR, but that could explain his result there then.

Well done Cunego, also Santambrogio. Good to see his form isn't gone completely. Rebellin seems to be getting better as well.
