So Millar's finally a little skeptical of Froome because of the TUE, not because the guy behind the team's super training plan also happened to be sitting across from Millar at the time of arrest?

Frustrating that the guy who prides himself on being the voice of clean rising in the peloton is so naive.

Are you confusing Robert and David here?

Millar was a unique bike rider, but this

the 'pack of wolves' that let Armstrong away with it for years? That never put 2 of McQuaids releases side by side to ask WTF? That have run from doping stories rather than invetigate them. What about last year and the question of EBH going backwards at Sky? Where were the wolves to jump on that imaginary fire.

If the 'POW' go after Froome and Sky this years it is because the smoke is not imagined as Roberta Omerta Millar would like to have us believe, it is black and thick!

Mrs Millar still hoping for a better gig in cycling instead of the odd blog on CN!!

Why did you call him Roberta? Innocent typo? Or are you attempting a character smear in case you need to disagree with him?

I noticed that. I doubt it's a typo since he also mentioned "mrs" Millar at the end. It's clearly a reference to issues in Millar's private life re: transexuality or transvesticism.

The dead rabbits souls will come back to haunt Froome this year. It already happened in Dauphine:

“I’m not too sure what happened. It was on a descent, there was a bit of a hole in road. I hit the hole, and lost my front wheel.”

A rabbit hole?

they definitely will cheer for his rivals...

Why is Millar accussing the press pack as being wolves ready to feast on Froome, when they dont do anything of that kind?

Why do you not have a problem with Millar's BS and my humourous* dig at her/him?

Tells us all we need to know what you have difficulty with in the sport and it aint the doping.

Do you have a problem with the content of Millars blog?

I'll take no ethics lessons from you, thanks. Incessant pious support of a version of clean cycling fatally undermined by casual trading in invasive personal rumour and innuendo. Abysmal.

Is he known to be TS/TV?

You were referring to my post.

Again, what's your point? You made a number of references to Millar' sexuality/gender identity. VB asked was it a typo. I clarified. I'm afraid I don't see the connection to asking me if I 'have a problem' with Millar's post.

My understanding is that there were a spate of articles in 2008(?) claiming Millar was living as Phillipa York. Most of which just as quickly disappeared, suggesting they were either fabricated, or Millar had made it clear he wanted to be left alone and somehow got his wish. I've no idea personally as to the truth of the story, but I do know the story was out there.

Froome's 2012 second place prize money

Hi,

Could someone clarify whether Froome's 2012 prize money was divided between the team also?

I posted a more elaborate series of questions in this thread, with no responses. It seems the issue of dividing the winnings was a point of friction, yet I've never found the answer to this in any article.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, pretty much this. A non story.

Probably not, and it's a moot question regardless. I am sorry you hate Chris Froome but in this instance at least, his grievance was warranted, but he didn't really air it until much later.

It's not really a moot point.

Generally the guy coming second is not from the same team as the guy coming first. Thus the guy coming first distributes his money down the chain.

Froome didn't get his share from Wiggins. Which on the surface sounds naughty. However Froome got prize money for finishing second.

Meaning did Wiggins take his prize pool & share down the line divided by 7 and not 8. Or did Wiggins pocket the 8th portion?

Knowing what we know now it certainly appears that Froome was undermining Wiggins who was the designated leader not just by team selection but by his result for that year.

To be honest Brailsford really should have sorted it out between the both of them and the fact that Froome (Cound) seduced & leaked the story to Walsh to be included in his book was very poor. But indicative of the manner in which Froome deals with such matters.

Gentle(wo)men,
please try not to stray too far off topic.

I have removed the sub-discussion of Robert Millars personal life. Don't stray there again

cheers

.

Funny how not that long ago most were aghast that Froome did not get his share, despite coming second. The general consensus was he helped Wiggins and was reined in himself.

Froome's book comes out and a lot of those same people jump on the "I hate Froome" bandwagon and all of a sudden he's the devil and no wonder he didn't get his prize money yada yada.

No, the second placed rider did not split his prize money and never has. The guy who won is getting millions from everywhere else. Second place not so much.

The better question is: did Froome split his prize money equally in 2013 - no complaints yet, right?
