So YOU'RE the guy that climbs all the Spanish MTFs on a unicycle!?

I'm jealous because he gets the prize every time, when she's there. :D

She's such a lively Italian gal, with, LOL, the looks to go with it. Think I'm going into serious oxygen debt.

I say better to go out in a blaze of glory trying to win the main prize than to suck wheels all day then sprint for a consolation prize.

Well obviously. Rodríguez wouldn't survive in a long attack, though. His only hope of winning was if Ryder cracked. I don't think he was sprinting for the red, I think he was sprinting for pink and red was a coincidence.

I think de Gendt was the only rider who knew the Giro ends tomorrow, the heads of the state were waiting to attack on the 24th stage

Gutted for Cav, so close to the hattrick. It's a shame that he probably lost it due to crashing than anything else

Or, the world's best sprinter could have beaten a 22 year old almost-rookie mano-a-mano in a finish that was tailor-made for the world's best sprinter and after the world's best sprinter's team mates had executed a perfect lead out and left the world's best sprinter in perfect position to do what he is best at.

Scarponi was impressive in my opinion, at least he had the guts to try and attack.

Yeah, it really takes some guts to attack with 2km's to go  De Gendt just proves today that Scarponi and all the others threw away tons of chances in the last couple of days to make some real time gaps, not those 1500 meter sprints they love so much.

I believe early on in the race Jrod said he needed 2 mins on Ryder before the TT..

With that in mind, he must have said "screw the pink" today when he didn't try something bigger.

At least he started the attacks.
Throughout the Giro he has tried many digs, just don't think he is strong enough this year.

Well yes, or that. If that stage was tailored to anyone, however, it was tailored to Guardini.

I think it will be tough for the grupetto today, a group with good riders like Rabottini and Lagutin just reached the finish, more than 40 minutes down. Cut is at ~62 minutes

I think he just wasn't strong enough. He rides away in the last 1km because that's all he can do; anaerobically, he's a beast. He had to hope that Hesjedal would crack and he would still be there.

they were in a group that tried to catch the cunego group, but they didn't get much time before the main peloton started riding and caught them up
