Evans, Kreuziger, Pineau, Gerrans and a couple of others were involved in a crash at the start of the stage. Radioshack went down a few km before Ramaz.

Not only that, but its made worse by the heat which we all remember him struggling with in 03. COnsidering they haven't even got to the Pyrennes yet, I am beginning to actually believe he won't finish the tour even.

True he did have problems with dehydration that one time. We talked a bit earlier in the thread about the larger GC contenders being less good at cooling down than the smaller ones. LA is certainly one of the bigger (former) GC contenders. Still a really disappointing showing from LA though. Or a really non-disappointing showing if you don't like LA - I suspect that any number of forum poster will have to change their pants.
