On the first day of the Olympics, my cycling god gave me 3 bike crashes, 2 bloody cuts, & a bike change on top of all that.

Yeh, but most "specialist" triathletes come from swimming or running tbh and take up cycling last.

There are other former triathletes in this field, but they obviously have more road experience than Knibb.

They did show her starting tho... Commentators just terrible, no idea how they missed that.

He did the commentary for the Kiesenhofer win though he also just admitted he doesn't really remember much from that day.
The Danish commentator's pronunciation of Knibb's name was more problematic, I dare say. 🍆
Also, some people just are not naturally good bike handlers... even if in a saddle since the womb.

Yeah the Beeb are already on mute because Brotherton is doing his procycling stats style of commentary, where he just reads out every stage,race win of a rider all the flippin time !!

Must admit not a fan of this style, but I've yet to see any teams that looks great yet, they're all so bland, going to make the road race fun to spot riders for sure.
