Bjerg,Politt,Wellens,Soler,Sivakov,Yates,Ayuso,Pogačar for Tour

For spring classics Bjerg,Politt,Oliveira brothers,Bax,Wellens,Pogacar

Pogacar will dominate 100% with this squad

If Pogačar wins the Tour and two monuments like in 2021, I would already be very happy.

If he wins the Worlds or the Olympics on top of that it would be a perfect season, arguably the best one since Merckx stopped riding.

More than this is not realistic.

If Pogacar targets the Tour again in 2024 (which is looking very likely), I hope he starts his season at PN or TA. Forget about starting the spring peak in February with races like Jaen, Andalucia, or UAE Tour. Yates can clean up the UAE Tour anyway. A month and a half peak from March to late April should be good enough. It gives him a good chance at two/three Monuments again (MSR is still really hard cause he's not as punchy as MVDP) and also gives him a good chance to go for the Ardennes triple again.

IMO, Pogacar's 2024 calendar should be:
PN/TA (either one's fine. If he's going for TA, he can also go for Strade)
MSR
E3
Flanders
Amstel Gold
Fleche
Liege
(Post-spring break)

Dauphine (I know he's probably gonna go to Tour of Slovenia again but just please go and try Dauphine/Suisse)
TDF
Olympics
(break)

Canada
Worlds
Emilia
Tre Valli
Lombardia

Pogacar 2024
Uae tour win
Paris Nice or tirreno win
San remo top 3
E3 top 3
Flanders win
Fleche wallone win
Amstel win
Liege win
Tour Slovenia win
Tour the France win
Olimpic games win
Bretagne DNF
2-3 low profile italian classics top 3 pre world
World championship win
Emilia top 3
Varesine win
Lombardia win

Why not win the Giro between Liège and Tour of Slovenia?

Sounds good and plausible but really hope he does Paris Roubaix and then skips Amstel/Flèche instead.

Agree that he should tick off a one week race win in June.

the pogacar just needs to relax on his team and a strong pace in each race and when there are about 10 people left then attack 2 km before the last hill, and if it doesn't work then wait for the sprint where he will beat each of those 10 people

Pogacar should take a week without a bike after the Ardennes classics, after that a light week of mix zone two (fat max) and zone 1, after that a week exclusively training at the fat max limit for 3 hours while he goes to see 4-5 stages for the tour in his camper with his maser and Hauptman, after that 13.5 visit altitude in sierra nevada until 28.5 and in the camp every day exclusively train 5-6 hours zone 2 with a couple of days zone 1, after that 5 days of rest and at Dauphine train intervals and race paces, after that take 4 days of rest in Sestriere at altitude and from 16.6-23.6 do the last part of the preparations where you need to focus on intervals and race simulation, measuring lactate and glucose at 10-30 min intervals, 5w/kg, 6w/kg, 6.5w/kg and the last week before the Tour, rest, zone 1 and 6 min 40-20 intervals to maintain sharpness and I guarantee that he would sweep everyone, even a fisherman, with exactly this kind of preparation, with the fact that he will be in fitness for altitude, as he was this year in the Ardennes until the fall

Personally I think he needs to consider if he wants to win the tour above everything else, if so he needs to focus on it to the exclusion of all spring ambitions.
Without that it will be the same as the last two years and Vinegard will be winning tour number three.
