The other riders' winning chances at the Olympics just increased by around 50 percent following the news that Pogacar isn't going.

I wonder if we're going to see teams adjust to Pogacars calendar, so that they won't send their best riders to races where Pogacar is participating ...

The truth is he is in fact easily the most likeable guy in the peloton by far? The facts says so no? Your truth is not the opinions of the general public in facts its the opposite which is the case.

offensive racing might not be for everyone, countless attacks in all terrains every race, getting to watch the best cyclist of all time with also most panache in the peloton along with Remco it is rough dude

She is the current Slovenian champion in both TT and the road and highest ranked Slovenian rider. She's 42 places higher than Bujak, but go off.

I think they already are, look at the lack of depth in the Giro this year. I think the likes of Carapaz/S.Yates/Mas/Rodriguez might have ridden the Giro if Pogi hadn't as they would smell the chance of winning the overall. But when Pogi announced they switched to the Tour

He will witdraw from the Olympics citing fatigue, then do a small vacation and then:

He comes across thoughtful and intelligent and is very open in interviews which I like. He also clearly loves racing his bike and wants to win. He seems like a great guy who is passionate about what he does. Really, your only reason for disliking him is that he is good. In that respect, I agree that it would be nice if cycling is more competitive but that is not Pogi's fault but his rivals for not matching his level. And even then, we've had so many races that he's made more interesting because of it like MSR and his Flanders win was really exciting

Smart decision, you cannot win them all and Pog is usually a bit tired after GTs. Much better to focus on winning Worlds, only rider with a chance of beating him there will most likely be Evenepoel. And Lombardia is a wrap as usual

On a real note the WC route with 4k vertical meters is a bit to much for Mdvp I think.

On the other hand Evenpoel vs Pog might be epic along with other strong riders from the upper echelons which may surprise.

Wc gonne me really good this year. Course is lit.

These are the priorities of a true professional. Not some long boring road race in Paris, with too small teams and little to no pay. But an exciting criterium in Surhuisterveen where you can rake in the cash for no effort.

If were in Pog's shoes and my GF were the top female cyclist in the country and the national champion in both TT and road disciplines, and she were excluded from the team in favor of a lesser rider, I would drop out of the Olympics as well.

I still have a hard time to comprehend how strong he is. First the Giro. He then proceeds to crush everyone in the best Tour which have been deemed impossible to do the double which is easy to forget, then best Tour in ages even while becoming the best climber in history with crushing all records. So much history has been typed from these months alone..

All while dancing and even going full rambo on last downhill even though it was no need for that? Safe to say he is just built different, he has no chill seriously doubt he know what that is.
