I think, he can do it. Obviously something needs to happen to Pogi but that is the case for everybody. I think Jonas is not such a headache for Roglic because for Roglic the Pogi's riding style is the worst thing happening to him. We still (i doubt we ever will) didn't see Roglic coming in optimal shape to TdF because he crashed every year before it and in most cases during it. Also (again if he doesn't crash) he will easily win this year Giro. Ayuso will have one really bad day, i believe already in first week, others are really not a problem.
I also believe he will win the Giro, however he can't beat Vingegaard in a GT anymore when both are at their best.

The Giro-Tour hasn't been won since 1998, but some are convinced it's the best thing for a 35-year rider who hasn't won the Tour even without a double.

It's something I read in the Roglic thread.
Another totally underrated achievement by Pogacar. Since Pogacar achieved it, it seems everyone is going to win the Tour doing the Giro.

I even read that Roglic would do well in De Ronde, when it's a race with a thousand crashes.
Since Pogacar dominates De Ronde, everyone is going to win De Ronde, even rides who have had thousands of accidents like Roglic :weary:

Everything Pogacar wins, others will do by imitation, as if it were easy.
Roglic is fighting for 3rd with or without the Giro in his legs, and with the high likelyhood of Vingegaard and/or Pogacar racing the Vuelta racing the Giro instead is just very smart scheduling.

There's 1 poster on this forum that beleives Roglic is in for the win in the TdF, aside from that, it's an impeccable strawman.

And do you really think Roglic can give any troubles to Pogacar nowadays in a GT? If so, how?
I believe he can. People keep downplaying him but he is better than a lot of them think. He hasn't had a good run for the Tour since 2020 (and even then he crashed in the Dauphine). Hopefully he arrives without any crashes or setbacks this year.
Pogacar can't underestimate Remco and I rate Roglic higher than Remco and Pog knows that.
I'm not talking about Roglic being on Vingegaard's level but I think he can make Pog sweat a lot more than Remco.

I'm not underrating Roglic. Nowadays he can't do anything against Pogacar.

Pogacar lined up as the undisputed favorite for La Doyenne and absolutely delivered on that expectation. “There was no way he was going to get beaten,” (Geraint) Thomas said. “I heard him afterwards saying that people claiming he’d gotten weaker after the Amstel Gold Race don’t know cycling. I think they do know cycling, just not Pogacar. The way he was riding… unreal.”
To illustrate just how dominant he was, Thomas shared a moment from during the race. “Liège kicks off uphill, right? The fight for the early break was already on, and we were riding at over 400 watts. Then I hear, ‘Hey G Thomas,’ and I look back, it’s Pogacar. He pulls up next to me and just starts chatting, about a new Richard Mille watch or something he was going to check out the next day. I was thinking, we’re doing 420 watts and you want to have a conversation? I felt alright, but I was just trying to breathe. He really is on another level.”

Quick question, what are tp best 10 races? Need some content to watch till he races again.
1 - WC RR 2024
2 - TdF 2020 stage 20 (MTT)
3 - TdF 2024 stage 15 (PdB)
4 - GdL 2024
5 - RVV 2025
6 - RVV 2023
7 - TdF 2021 stage 8 (Grand Bornand)
8 - SB 2024
9 - Vuelta 2019 stage 20
10 - FW 2025

I would love to include Giro 2024 stage 15 but field was underwhelming.

EDIT: I completely forgot SB 2024 so I had to take off Isola.

First ITT against Ganna.

It's also unfair to devalue the Giro because of participation. Remember, Roglic won it in 2023 against G. Thomas and was given credit. Pogacar made him look worse.

We've heard several other guys with similar stories about Pog now. When the peloton is strung out, flat out, etc, he's just talking , laughing like its nothing and doesn't seem to understand why people struggle—rather fascinating.
It’s why he would make a terrible DS 😂 he would be on the radio saying moving up boys this is an easy tempo while everyone is biting the bars going full gas.

Roglic is not attempting Giro-Tour, he is trying to win the Giro because he is too far behind Vingegaard and Pogacar. He had by far the best preparation last year and still was miles behind in every mountain/hilly stage.
You mean the Tour where he was crashed out by some douche' jumping a median...that one?
I recall him dieselling a serious climb, Pogi had dropped Jonas and Roglic went through Remco and Jonas on the descent. Not miles, not behind. Pogacar; that's a different story.

I agree he will be trying to win the Giro. If he's intact after that we'll see what Jonas can do for 3 weeks. Last time around he couldn't manage it. Remco is also in recovery mode and only the blind faithful will suggest he'll be fighting it out at this point in time.
Pogacar is dominant in not losing months of time to injuries. The rest of these guys have lost a season or two for recovery; so let's factor that into the fan's shallow reality of today's actual competitors.
