He lost 9 s/km in Combloux. He needs to improve a lot in 15 days (last week is recovery for the Tour).I would not be the least surprised if he shows up 5-10% stronger than June

He was cruising on Valmeinier.Even if he was he wasn't riding at 100%.
If its true or not, I doubt it too. But its certainly - judging by all inteviews and actions in races - the gameplan of Visma. Make the race hard, win on stamina and recovery. That's not true. If the stage is easier, Vingegaard is fresher to reduce time gaps. At this point, Vingegaard has no weapons against Pogacar.
Visma's gameplan is pure BS. They always talk like they have a plan but they are clueless. They just ride hard and pray for Vingegaard to be stronger. I hope for their sake Visma have more than that in mind? Knowing what Pogacar did in 2024 (Giro-Tour-Worlds-GdL) Vingegaard does not have any advantage in stamina and recovery.Make the race hard, win on stamina and recovery
At risk of sounding smug, any chance uae lets Vingo go stage hunting?
40? Pog, Jonas and a few of their respective domestiques, Rogla & Remco without.

Yeah, yesterday I saw Pogacar doing sprints in Isola. Oh boy, he is not just working on his TT.Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
Visma can already start hiding in their shelters, and they better hide deep because Pogi is coming with some bunker busters.
Vingegaard's only advantage relies on beating Pogacar in the flat TT (by a decent margin just like in the Dauphiné) and pray to follow Pogacar in the mountains.I hope for their sake Visma have more than that in mind? I don't think Pogacar will have as bad a time trial as he did in the Dauphiné. Last year, he finished just 12 seconds behind Remco in the first time trial, and in the Giro, which was very flat, he performed much better than he did in the Dauphiné.Vingegaard's only advantage relies on beating Pogacar in the flat TT (by a decent margin just like in the Dauphiné) and pray to follow Pogacar in the mountains.
No. I believe the Tour will be over after Col de la Loze and riders like Kuss or Simon will try to win on Plagne. I believe UAE will not let them win, let alone Vingegaard. At risk of sounding smug, any chance uae lets Vingo go stage hunting?
Maybe but it's his only hope IMO. UAE's setup looks bad and he can lose 40 seconds to Vingegaard if he shows a similar level to the one he did in the Dauphiné.I don't think Pogacar will have as bad a time trial as he did in the Dauphiné. Can you share?Yeah, yesterday I saw Pogacar doing sprints in Isola. Oh boy, he is not just working on his TT.

I also believe it's both. But their setup is mediocre. Last year they had 7 TT wins by the end of TdS. This year, they only have 1 win and it's the MTT Almeida won yesterday.I don't think it's simply the setup.
McNulty is riding mediocre time trials this year, but Baroncicni and Vermeersch did very well in the Baloise ITT.
I suppose it has more to do with the fact that they didn't work on it in the training camp before the Dauphiné, because the entire UAE rode a mediocre time trial in the Dauphiné, while they did well in the Baloise.
Yes.At risk of sounding smug, any chance uae lets Vingo go stage hunting?
Do you think he also walks past urska’s specialized tt bike and picks it up whenever he’s at home 🫣I also believe it's both. But their setup is mediocre. Last year they had 7 TT wins by the end of TdS. This year, they only have 1 win and it's the MTT Almeida won yesterday.
